Theo began running along the boundary of the oval as he headed back to the Great Stone teams change room for halftime. I felt the butterflies going wild in my stomach as he approached us. I stood up and walked towards the fence that ran around the outside of the oval.
He grinned when he reached me.
“Fancy seeing you here!” he chuckled. I felt my cheeks go warm.
“Small world!” I winked.
“I hope you’re not perving on all the players…” Theo said as he raised his eyebrows questioningly at me. I giggled briefly before composing myself.
“I am! Only one of them. He’s caught my eye.” I shrugged.
