I walked through the front door and into the kitchen where Jenny and Mum were busying themselves.
“What’s going on?” I asked as I watched them frantically run around.
“Theo! You’re home!” Jenny squealed and ran over to me. She wrapped her arms around me and squeezed as hard as she could.
“I have only been gone for a day… probably don’t need to squash my intestines.” I laughed and pecked her on the cheek. Jenny giggled as she ran back over to the tomatoes she was cutting for in a salad.
“What are you getting all of this food ready for?” I asked, looking at Mum questioningly.
“We have a visitor coming tonight.” Mum muttered, pushing her hair out of her face with her forearm.
