Tom and I walked towards Alpha's house and around the side to the backyard. I could hear the people talking before I even got to the gate.
I pushed the gate open and walked towards the deck at the back of the house. There were groups of people standing around the yard talking. A few of them glanced at me and began whispering as I continued walking through the crowd.
I recognised a few of the Alphas from the ball. They shook their heads and turned away as I walked past them. I heard Tom groaning in frustration at them behind me.
I stepped onto the deck and sat on one of the bench seats.
A man began walking towards me. I could see the outrage in his eyes. He stopped in front of me and crossed his arms across his chest. I almost laughed at how comical he looked.
