“Wow, this makeup looks absolutely gorgeous on you, and don't start me on that dress girl!” “Thanks Lar, you could open your own beauty saloon, you know, you're really good with this. I feel like a totally different person” “You look sizzling hot! I will totally hit on you if I was a guy” “Oh please, I'm not that fine joor" Chelsea replied looking at herself in the full length mirror on the wall. She turned this way and that checking out herself and admiring the face beat. She was wearing a little green dress that stopped just shy of her knees, it had a sweetheart neckline and two inch straps that held on her shoulders and crisscrossed low at the back ending just above her waist. She was wearing scalloped 3 inch heels made of black soft suede faux leather. She loved good comfortable shoes and these pair made her feel like she could run in them. “Babe, I am ordering Uber, I hope you're done?” Larissa called from the parlour where she was waiting for Chelsea to join her. “Yes I am, I'll be with you shortly.” She twirled one more time in front of the mirror and picked upher little hands free black purse, big enough for her phone but small enough not to get in the way of her dancing. She slung it across her body and it came to rest snugly just below her diaphragm and stepped out to join Larissa. “I got something for you,” Larissa said pushing three packs of Trojan Horse into her palm “Nothing should come in the way of a good time, no excuses" and completing it with a mischievous smile and a glint in her eye. “Umm... Thank you? But I doubt if...” “Our Uber is here, let's go. We'll continue the inside the car.” The clock in the parlour said it was thirty seven minutes after nine on a Friday evening and she was ready to dance and mingle but s*x was definitely not on the menu tonight. Their Uber ride was a shiny black Lexus and their driver was young. Larissa checked out the car’s number plates to confirm and they got in. “Good evening ma'am, can I start the trip?” “Yes please, you can. Is your A/C working?” Larissa asked the driver. “Yes ma'am, turning it on now” She turned to Chelsea and asked “What were you saying back in the house there?” “Nothing important. Let's go and enjoy the night. Besides where are you taking me to?” “A big surprise. But I promise you will like this place. As an introduction to clubbing for someone as conservative and prude as you" “Me, prude? You have no idea” Chelsea replied with an eye roll. “The best part about this place, you can get free drinks like a normal thing” “So how about your boyfriend?” “Kennedy? That one is history na, we broke up last month. He said I was becoming too clingy" “Oh, I'm sorry to hear about that” “Don't be, he was chasing one rich girl like that so I was being clingy. Good for him the girl left him for her rich boyfriend who left her but came back again.” “And he came back to you, without shame?” “That one sold shame and bought liver na. Anyways no need to dwell on past things, here we are" Larissa said gleefully. “I've made the transfer to you, have you seen it yet?” She spoke to the Uber driver. “Yes ma. Enjoy your evening ladies" They exited the car and Chelsea stood staring at the night club's name in bright red neon lights “Pandora? What sort of name is that for a night club?” “A name fit for the happening night club in the city. I even heard that it has levels or parts that unless you have clearance you're never permitted to enter" “Wow, sounds...” “High class, I know right?” “Let's get in before you start drooling all over yourself.” Larissa pulled her along and after the initial check at the entrance, they were admitted into the dimly lit club. At first she couldn't make out anything but then her eyes began to adjust and as they did, they began to scan the room until the rested on a man leaning casually over the bar, holding a glass in his left hand whose eyes were set to stare directly at her without blinking or flinching. She wanted to look away, she tried to but there was just something captivating and enchanting about him. He was backlit by the bar so his features were shadowed but that was nothing, because her body began to tingle in places that had never ever tingle before, ever. She felt Larissa tugging oh her arm, she dragged her eyes from the stranger.
