THE HOUSE WAS QUIET as night fell and the creator searched through his books. He wanted to make sure that there weren’t any more of those creatures roaming around somewhere. Once they got rid of this one, he wanted to be rid of them for good.
When he originally made the first one, it was one of those times where he thought he was doing something to balance out something else he had overdone just a little, but as with all those kinds of creatures, it got out of hand. The first creature found a mate and before long, all the magic was gone out of the world and the creator couldn’t make magical creatures fast enough. He thought he had their population under control after a while, but they boomed again and he was forced to wipe them out.
