Amanda's heart raced as she hit send on her goodnight message to David. She placed her phone on her bedside table, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. Meeting new people had always been a bit daunting for her, but something about David's straightforwardness and shared interests made her feel at ease.

The next morning, Amanda woke up to a message from David: "Morning, Amanda! Hope you slept well. Any plans for today?"

She smiled, appreciating the simple, thoughtful message. "Good morning, David! Slept great, thanks. Just work today, nothing exciting. You?"

David replied quickly, "Same here. Rehearsing with Daniel later. Do you like coffee? We could grab some sometime." Amanda's pulse quickened. She appreciated how direct he was, but she wasn't quite ready for an in-person meeting just yet. "I love coffee," she typed back. "Maybe soon. Let’s keep chatting for now."

David responded with a thumbs-up emoji and a friendly "Sounds good."

Throughout the day, their messages continued. Amanda found herself checking her phone frequently, eager to see what David had said next. Their conversations ranged from light-hearted banter to deeper topics. David shared stories about growing up with Daniel and their early days of making music together.

One evening, their conversation turned more personal. David texted, "So, I see you're a very independent girl. It's not a bad thing, but how do you manage to stay so self-sufficient?"

Amanda thought for a moment before replying, " I'm considered a people person but I like to think that's only when I'm outside. I am really very closeted and I love straightforward people but it's hard for me to be able to rely on people cos they've shown that they are rather untrusand unreliable. And for that reason, I do everything by myself to avoid disappointment. And I don't expect so much from people. I put everyone on the same level."

David replied, "I was born with another version of myself. So I cane with my very own best friend, it just felt right. Practically two peas in a pod. And we've been making music together since we were kids.We just share the same passion and same energy for music."

Amanda could almost picture it: two little boys, one with a toy guitar and the other with a makeshift drum set, making a ruckus in their living room. She smiled at the thought. "That sounds amazing. Must be great to have that bond with your brother."

"It is," David agreed. "We push each other to be better. It’s not always easy, but it’s worth it."

Their conversation continued late into the night. Amanda shared more about her family, her dreams, and her favorite memories. David did the same, revealing a sensitive, thoughtful side beneath his confident exterior.

Over the next few days, their bond grew stronger. They shared music recommendations, swapping playlists and discussing their favorite songs. Amanda discovered a newfound appreciation for afrobeat, thanks to David’s enthusiastic explanations and the passion he infused into every conversation.

David: "Have you heard of Ruger? He’s one of the artistes that inspire me and my brother. You should definitely check out his stuff."

Amanda: "I haven’t but I will! Any song recommendations to start with?"

David: "Start with 'Abu Dhabi' It’s a classic."

Amanda listened to the song that evening, letting the vibrant rhythms and powerful lyrics wash over her. She texted David afterwards, "Wow, that was incredible. Thanks for the recommendation!"

David replied with a smiley face emoji, "Glad you liked it. There’s so much more to discover. Can’t wait to share more with you."

Their conversations weren’t just about music. They discussed everything from their favorite movies to their dream travel destinations. Amanda found herself laughing out loud at David’s witty comments and thoughtful insights.

David: "So, if you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?"

Amanda: "That’s a tough one! Probably Korea. I’ve always wanted to explore Asia. What about you?"

David: "Japan, for sure. The culture, the technology, and the food. Plus, I hear the music scene there is amazing."

Amanda: "That sounds incredible. Maybe one day we’ll get to go to our dream destination."

David: "Here’s hoping! But until then, we have plenty of time to explore the world through our conversations."

One evening, as they were discussing their plans for the weekend, David brought up his upcoming show again. "We’re performing at The Groove this Saturday. It’s one of our favorite spots. I’d love for you to come."

Amanda felt a flutter of excitement mixed with nerves. Meeting David in person was a big step. "I’d love to, but I’m a little nervous. I’ve never met someone from the internet in real life before."

David replied, "I understand. No pressure. But if you do decide to come, I promise you’ll have a great time. And I’ll make sure you feel comfortable."

Amanda appreciated his reassurance. "Okay, I’ll think about it."

David: "Take your time. Just let me know."

That night, Amanda lay in bed, staring at the ceiling. She felt a strong connection with David, and part of her really wanted to see him perform live. After a lot of thought, she made up her mind.

The next morning, she texted David: "I’ve decided. I’ll come to your show on Saturday. Can’t wait to see you perform!"

David replied almost immediately, "That’s awesome! I can’t wait to see you there, Amanda. I’ll send you the details."

As she put down her phone, Amanda felt a surge of excitement. This was a big step out of her comfort zone, but something told her it was the right one. She couldn’t wait to see where this new connection would lead.

The rest of the week flew by in a blur of anticipation. Amanda and David’s conversations continued, filled with playful banter and deeper revelations. She found herself growing more and more eager to meet him in person.

By the time Saturday rolled around, Amanda was both excited and nervous. She chose an outfit that was casual but nice, something that made her feel confident. She texted David, "On my way! See you soon."

David replied with a simple, "Can’t wait!"

As Amanda headed to the venue, she took a deep breath, ready to step into this new chapter of her life. She had no idea what to expect, but she knew one thing for sure: this was going to be an adventure she wouldn’t forget.
