C006 Me Brainy? Try Exchanging Bodies As I Leap From One To Another Lah

1972 Words
I excused myself just as the 1st shift girls were about to leave and head home before having their snacks. I asked the girls for favour and asked around for girls above the age of 12 and adult women who wished to be employed as assembly line workers to install the Seiko Tumbler ad you can see here. We need 48 girls and 24 adult women who can handle a wrench and screwdriver and able to lift weights like a sack of rice. Get them to come and see me here now. Thank you very much, girls. Go enjoy your snacks first." Upon hearing that Fasuto Japan KabushikiGaisha is opening its doors for expansion and further employment, the girls hurried off and said that they will come and have their snacks later on and soon the girls ran back to the outermost District wearing their prominent and distinctive bright red vests. In about 35 minutes or so, a group of women and girls came over led by the girls in their vest which means the recruitment drive had been a complete success and these girls hauled up those neighbours of theirs to come and work for Fasuto Japan. The girls excused themselves and took their snack and shared with their friends and neighbours. As they all assembled and sat in groups, I walked over and asked if the cooks had extras and said they made for supper as well and I told the newly assembled girls and ladies to take the snacks. They stood and sheepishly formed a queue to get their snacks. I spoke to the two cooks that I would be increasing their pay since by next week their preparation and cooking for the meals would be put to a tremendous test since there would be an extra 100 people working by next week. They thanked me and asked for 2 more rocket stove and several more pots and pans. I saw a messenger and gave a note for the owner of the kitchen supplies to come and meet the two ladies here and asks them what they need. The messengers left as fast as his short legs could carry him and informed the owner who came within 15 minutes. He took note of what the cooks needed and I asked if they need more manpower to help prepare and cook and she said another two would be fine and there is no need to increase their salaries since there is more help. I asked them to look for 2 more as competent as them that can whip up 6 different meals every day. I went back to the group of 72 newly acquired would-be workers and I introduced myself and then to mesen-san and lastly to Hiko-sama who would be keeping a ledger for their payroll and attendance. After we had briefed them, I broke the mass into 3 groups of people who represent their individual shifts. For each shift, there would be 24 assembly workers and each shift comprises of 16 young teenagers and 8 adults. I explain the working hours and the breakdown of their salary and they all agreed to it with no questions asked. I also told them to approach to the Head Machinist who happens to Mesen-san on the 10 pm to 10 am shift and another Head Machinist on the 10 am to 10 pm shift. I explained about the meals provided except for the night shift that would have their supper at around 1 am and breakfast by 630am so they would have to bring their own if necessary. I have mesen-san and Hiko-sama a blank sketchpad and to begin recording their names and age for 2nd and 3rd shift while I handled the 1st shift. I saw another messenger and asked a note for the tailor to come and meet us immediately and in 15 minutes the tailor arrived with their own sketchpad in their own hands. I showed her that these 72 people that are assembled would be our employees soon and needs a vest like the ones that they had tailored for us. She noted in her sketchpad of the sizes as she took a sweeping glance and then we passed her our sketchpads to record their names on the left breast pocket. The cooked served some snacks and tea and was surprised that smack in the middle of the outermost residential district we managed to run a manufacturing line comparable to the godown in Shibata. We engaged in small talk and she asked how many employees we have at this moment and when I replied we would have around 150, she nearly dropped the cup of green tea she was holding. She looked at me that does the talking while looking at Hiko-sama with his frown on his face and she continued to munch on her snack and drank her tea while she records every name on our sketchpads. "This kid is the main decision-maker for this huge corporation! While the one with a crown look must be his financial adviser or something. I think this kid must have owned a gold or diamond mine somewhere." she thought to herself.   We dismissed the girls after we had finalised their names, their shift, working hours and salary and benefits. I told them they would be informed when the work commences by the girls who are currently working with us. The tailor was happy at getting the business from us and I added that I need 3 long banners in which I would use a bamboo pole to hang them and it should measure about 3 meters by 1 meter with a stitched slot to insert the bamboo pole in. Red coloured backing with yellow lettering. She said she would take of it and Deliver all of the vests in a week's time or faster and excused herself. Mesen-san saw the events unfold before his eyes as I casually briefed before a crowd and had everything under control. Soon he too excused himself and went back to his shop to perform more work on the production of the machine and at the same time produces the parts needed and places them in the crates. Mesen-san had to approach the main supplier for these parts and orders them one hundredfold for the components and have it ready for next week delivery to Fasuto Japan KabushikiGaisha and to provide the receipts so he could send it to the Young Master as soon as he had placed the orders at the fabrication factory. He returned to us and showed the list of KDC and informed that he did not fabricate the items but he had got it from a fab factory instead which actually speed up the process. I sternly told him not to fabricate stories in the future as I would like to know the facts and not the twisted myths. He said he was sorry and promised not to fabricate a*********s in the future and since he would be under our supervision, he can't escape anywhere. Just like a leash on a goats neck tethered to a stake on the ground... Bleeettt...bblleeettt... I checked with the storekeeper and they had already packed the items accordingly to the order list for Yonezawa Town. And the items had already been loaded onto the wagons and would need the same amount of horses tomorrow to haul the wagons. I checked the list and confirmed that it tallies with mine and the crates had already been loaded and covered with a sheet. Yonezawa Town Karada Soap 348 crates Hae Shanpu 120 crates Kurin Lemon 12 crates Feroa Kurina Pine 12 crates Feroa Kurina Eucalyptus 12 crates Soapdish 12 crates of 1,450 pieces each Total 51600 ***** Refined Iron 120 crates ***** Total 81,600 gold coins ***** +-==The following morning==-+ After spending some time in the Realm of Mind the night before after supper, we managed to produce another 2,000 moulding set of 20,000 Refined Iron plates. After having breakfast we sat at the garden with our weapons at our obi as we waited for the 4 ambassadors to arrive with the 6 horses thy loaned from the stable boys. The horses that the delivery boys had loaned arrived and had been harnessed to the wagons and awaiting the orders to move out. Once everything is ready, the ambassadors cheered "PROGRESS!" and lead the way while we followed behind the convoy and once we cleared the gates again, Hiko-sama and I took the lead and 2 ambassadors took the flanks and 2 took the rear guard. When we reached Yonezawa Town, we repeated the whole process as we did at Aizuwakamatsu and collected all the monies from the cosmetics and the blacksmiths and did a live demonstration of Seiko Tumbler Machine and told the sales lady to send in the report of orders tomorrow morning to Kitakata. Hiko-sama and I then made a deposit of 81,000 at the treasury to change for slip receipt under our corporation name. I let Hiko-sama hold on to the 600 gold coins I intended for the float cash. We went back to Kitakata just after lunch and Hiko-sama made the deposit at the treasury. A guard approached me saying that a note had come from Aizuwakamatsu before lunchtime and it simply noted STM 369 orders. I noted it on the sketchpad of the said numbers and sat down while waiting for Hiko-sama to return with the 4 ambassadors and had lunch with them. I told them that Aizuwakamatsu had ordered 369 STM on the first day of orders yesterday and everyone was filled with joy! Even the profit margin is very minimal, but it helps to push the other products as well, especially the Kurin Detergent. I wrote a note to be sent to the mesen-san by messenger and simply wrote Kitakata 110 Aizuwakamatsu 369 STM. After lunch I went to the constructions of the 3 warehouses, the quad outhouses with that were placed on the extremely end away from the 'canteen' and saw that the 30 men had completed the foundation and were halfway through the skeletal of the warehouses' structure. The 2 new cooks were there and its a big help for the initial cooks to prepare food for an additional 30 workers. The outdoor clean and dirty kitchen had expanded by another table to accommodate the preparation as well as another table for the rocket stoves. This time, there were 6 rocket stoves altogether. I saw a group of young children arriving and each was carrying an armful of firewood, branches and twigs and handed them to the cooks and they were rewarded with snacks. I called the children to wait and I took a few saplings and made twines. I explained that the children don't have to carry the wood in their hands but instead could carry like this. I showed them how to use two sticks acting as a handle and I placed twigs, branches and sticks in the middle and lifted the sticks that had been entwined and carry them. I said they could even carry them across their shoulders as I picked the smallest child and I told him to carry it on his shoulders and he happily said its much easier and could send more woods over this way. The cooks saw what I had done and talked among themselves that even a simple contraption can be made easy for their lives. The cooks thought that I was going to reprimand the children and the cooks for giving away food and receiving without my acknowledgement but instead it was the opposite. "This young lord is different from our Mayor, he showed compassion and concern for the welfare of others and anyone who marries him would be most beneficial. He is so young and yet very brainy and his views were way out of reach compared to the scholars here. Little did they knew that the body I occupied was from a settlement 3 days walk from here and I was in much more r condition than the residents of the outermost District.
