“They’re on the train!” Sarah declared.
“The train?” Sam queried.
Sarah waved the paper she was reading. “Yes, the train!”
“You mean the Ghan?”
“Is there another train?” Sarah said sarcastically.
“Are you sure?”
“It’s right here, on the passenger list,” Sarah waved the page again. “Pull over.”
Sam steered the vehicle to the kerb and parked before taking the passenger list from Sarah.
“There are a lot of names on here,” he said eventually.
“Of course,” Sarah said. “It’s a big train. Look at the list of passengers in the sixteenth carriage from the front.”
Sam flipped the pages until he reached page number sixteen.
“I don’t see their names. What am I looking for?”
“Aliases,” Sarah said. “Look for names that jump out at you.”
