Daciano I wake as soon as the door opens. I’ve always been a light sleeper. The slightest change in light in the room, the smallest sound will wake me. When I look at the bed. I realize the female is gone. I want to follow her immediately, but I know there’s no way she can escape. And on the other hand, I’m also curious to see what she could be up to. When the door opens again moments later, I force myself to stay perfectly still. I keep my breathing calm and steady, though my heart is racing. I wait, listening to the near–imperceptible sounds of her approaching my chair. Does she plan on strangling me in my sleep? The thought leaves me feeling annoyed, but I’m also the smallest bit impressed. Nobody’s gotten this close to me before in my chambers, at least certainly not with the intent
