Back To Life pt. 2

The next morning, I immediately prepared to leave. Gwen texted, she was waiting for me, I arrived, still half an hour before first class. I saw Gwen was sitting on one of the benches, I walked over to her.

"Morning" I said.

"Morning" she said.

"Should I ask how your sunday was"

"No, because it's a little dramatic. You know I didn't tell my grandma about Aunt Cate because she would freak out, and I ended up doing that yesterday"

"Let me guess she's back here"

"Miss, I managed to convince her yesterday not to come back and she agreed"

"How you do that?"

"Well, with many promises of course"

"Wow, you convince her, and she agreed"

"Yes, amazing"

"Thank you"

"So she's not coming back?"

"Not for now"

"I don't know what you will do, but if you forbid her to come back I think it's dangerous"

"It is, I can't protect her if she was here"

"Just like your aunty?"

"Yes, I don't want to lose anyone, not anymore"

"I understand. But how long will you be like this?"

"Until I can make things safe again for the people I love"

"Including me?"

"Including you"

"Okay, whatever you want to do think about your safety too, that's the most important"

"Okay and thanks"

First class, everything is safe, no problem, and Charlie is waiting for him in the parking lot. I asked him to be there and not attract attention. At lunchtime I went with Gwen to lunch at a nearby fast food shop. Alright, today will be fine, so far no sign of trouble to come.

The first month everything was fine. I made some new friends, and was able to forget them all for a while. I hang out with Kevin several times and get to know him better. Zoe, she's come over several times and tried to convince me to keep going, but I've made a decision and I'm not going to change that. Gwen, I don't know how she can like someone in just a month, weird.

This morning I immediately got ready, I was almost late. I arrived and immediately ran to class, but in the parking lot I saw Oswald, what is he doing here? He looked at me, don't mind him I'll be late. I'm leaving right away. When I finished, I was about to go home but Maria and Addison came over to me.

"Sharon, you look in a hurry" Maria said.

"No, of course not. Why?" I said.

"If you're not busy maybe we can have coffee" Addison said.

At the same time Oswald appeared, what was he doing here. I can feel the hatred in his eyes.

"Sure. Of course we can" I said.

I went with them, we chatted for quite a while. They're friendly, I guess. I have to prepare, Oswald is planning something, I know that, what I will do now. At 6pm, I'm going home and so are they, we walk out, they ask how I'm getting home, I say someone will pick me up, of course I mean Charlie. I was about to call Charlie but Kevin showed up.

"Hi, Sharon" Kevin said.

"Kevin" I said.

"Looks like your ride has arrived" Addison said.

"No, he's not" I said.

"What happened?" Kevin asked.

"Nothing. I just, we just hang out" I said.

"Okay"

"Guys, this is Kevin. Kevin this is Maria and Addison. And excuse me for a second, I have to call someone" I said.

"You don't need to call Charlie, I can take you" Kevin said.

"Thanks, but no" I said.

"Come on" Kevin said.

"I guess, we should go, see you tomorrow" Maria said.

"See you" I said.

"Bye Sharon" Addison said.

"Bye" I said.

They left and now it was just me and Kevin. I was about to call Charlie but Kevin pulled my phone.

"Are you kidding me?" I said.

"Just say yes or no" Kevin said.

"No"

"Why?"

"Gimme back my phone"

"I can take you"

"Look, I can go home by myself in a taxi or call someone to pick me up"

"The last time you said that, you were just standing on the side of the road waiting for a taxi to pass"

"It's different now"

"Come on"

"Okay"

Kevin drove me home.

"Can I ask why you are there?" I said.

"I was passing by and stopped to buy coffee and I saw you chatting with them"

"Chatting with them?"

"In the outside"

Why do you think he's been there since you and them chatted, what's the matter with you, Sharon.

"Okay" I said.

"Why?" he asked.

"No. I'm just asking"

You weird. We arrived.

"Thank you. You want to drop by?" I asked.

"Thanks, but no, I have something to do" he said.

He left, and I rushed in. I make dinner, after dinner I watch tv. I heard something from Grandma's room, I knew I was alone here and the sound wasn't coming from the TV. I turned off the tv and walked to grandma's room. There shouldn't be anything strange, it should be. I opened the door, there's nothing here. I turned around and a man covered my mouth. He pointed a gun at me. I'm scared, of course I'm scared.

"Don't scream" he said.

Who the hell is he? Calm down. I kicked him and pointed the gun up, he shot several times. I kicked him again and he dropped the gun. He kicked the gun. I was about to take the gun but he grabbed me and threw me against the wall, hitting my head pretty hard. He was about to take the gun, I pulled him and ran to get the gun, he knocked me down and grabbed my leg. I kicked him but he kept pulling me away. He drops a vase and picks up the shards, he will kill me. Just before he stabbed me with the broken vase the police came. I got up and bit his hand, he dropped the shard. The police immediately arrested him.

"Are you okay ms" said on of the police.

"I'm fine"

"Did you know him?" she asked.

"No. I don't know him" I said.

They took him away, I called Charlie to pick me up.

"Are you okay? Do you need something?" Charlie asked.

"No. Thanks. I'm just a little bit shock" I said.

"You need something?"

"No"

My phone ringing.

"Sharon, are you okay?" Gwen asked.

"I'm fine" I said.

"I heard the news and I call you ASAP"

"I'm fine. Don't worry"

"Good. Can you tell me what happened?"

"Not now, I'll tell you tomorrow"

"Okay, I gotta go. See you tomorrow"

"See you"

The impact was quite strong, my head still hurts a little. The next day I told Gwen what had happened last night, she was shocked. Luckily no one asked what happened last night. I have to be more careful, Oswald won't stop until I die. All right, I have to do something. What would happen if I uncovered who killed Aunt Cate? Maybe that was enough to make him think again before looking down on me.

I told Charlie to give the tape between Leo and Oswald to the police. News spread fast, people started to view Harry Oswald as a villain but he always denied everything, I wonder how long he will deny everything. He won't be able to do anything when he has to be behind the prison.

Day after day, the investigation is still being carried out, they should have arrested Oswald immediately, the tape is strong enough to be evidence. After 2 weeks the police arrested Leo Hose on charges of murder and Oswald he was just a witness. How could it be? He clearly did? I know he has control but this is starting to get too much. I saw him in court, he smiled slyly at me. I will show him what I can do, he will regret everything, I will be his worst nightmare.

Tonight Abbie invited me to her party, I went with Gwen.

"Hi Sharon" Abbie said.

"Hi Abbie" I said.

"You must be Gwen. I'm glad you came, we'll talk later, I have to find James, enjoy the party" Abbie said.

"Sure, thanks" I said.

Abbie walk away.

"Why did you bring me here?" Gwen asked.

"Cuz I don't really know her, and I only know a few people here" I said.

"That's clear, you don't know anyone, that's why you bring me here"

"Come on Gwen, We haven't had a party in a long time"

"We have, three mont ago"

"I'll take you a drink"

I took a drink and saw Abbie and James kissing and walked into Abbie's room. A little disgusting. I met Gwen.

"Wait, is that Luna" Gwen said.

Gwen pointed to a girl dressed all in pink.

"Yup, that's Luna Carter" I said.

The girl looks at me, I smile at her, and she walks towards me.

"Hi little b***h" I said.

"Sharon. Long time no see" Luna said.

"Yeah, long time" I said.

"What both of you doing here?" Luna asked.

"We came for party" Gwen said.

"I thought this party was just for friends" Luna said.

"Of course. You look better, that pink dress look fit on you" I said.

"Of course, I always look beautiful" Luna said.

"Even with scared face, right" I said.

"Watch your mouth b***h" Luna said.

"Where's your scared face?" I asked.

"You better shut up" Luna said.

"Really?" I said.

"Shut your damn mouth, or you'll regret it" Luna said.

"Wow, Gwen, are you hear it? She said I will regret it. Oh, I'm scared" I said.

"Don't start this" Gwen said.

"Come on, we came for having fun" I said.

"Sharon" Gwen said.

"I still remember you said please, don't drop me, I'll do everything you want" I said.

Luna's face looked annoyed, she turned and left.

"Ups, she mad" I said.

"Sharon, stop. We came for having fun" Gwen said.

"Okay"

At 2 am, Gwen and I came home. I saw from the mirror someone was following us, I was getting faster. They're after us.

"What happened?" Gwen asked.

"I don't know, they're after us" I said.

"Who?"

"I don't know. Calm down"

When I felt they were far enough away I turned down the lane and stopped. I grabbed Gwen and we ran out of there.

"Where we go?" Gwen asked.

"My parents house" I said.

"Are you sure. It's 2 am"

"Just follow me"

Suddenly they appeared, I pulled Gwen against the wall and covered both of our faces.

"What are you doing?" Gwen asked.

"They go" I said.

After walking for a few minutes we arrived. We changed clothes and slept. The next day. I woke up. I went out to buy some food and then came back.

"Where you go?" Gwen asked.

"Market" I said.

"You have to tell me everything, now"

"Okay. So, I thing I made someone angry, and he want to kill me"

"Who?"

"Someone"

"Tell me, who"

"Harry Oswald"

"What?! Are you kidding me?"

"No. That's why I stayed at my aunt's house, why my grandmother had to go. Because I pissed him off, maybe"

"What you did?"

"If I tell you will you still be with me?"

We had breakfast and then left. On the way home my cell phone rang, an unknown number.

"Sharon" he said.

"Who is this?" I asked.

"Your worst nightmare"

"I don't know you"

"You already now"

"Who the hell you are?"

"Calm down, girl. Listen to me, I can forget your every action if you stay away from mine, but I can destroy you in just a few moments if you don't listen"

"Oswald, you are Harry Oswald. Looks like you're getting scared of what I can do, looks like you're starting to worry. I'm going to assume you know what I have and what I can do. Aren't you the one who should be careful, this little girl will mess up your life"

"You better watch your mouth. I almost forgot to tell you, you have a beautiful and smart friend"

"If you do anything to her, I swear I will bring disaster to your life"

"I won't if you stay away"

He hung up. He thinks he can threaten me, fine, I will give a small gift to him. What will happen if I spread the photo of her and her secretary's affair, I'm sure the media will like that. In just a few hours the photo spread. Loyal and good men turn bad, that's what happened to his reputation. I'll show him that I can ruin his life without telling him. My phone ringing, Gwen calling.

"What you did?" Gwen asked.

"I'll make things right, but this will cause a bit of an explosion, so I have to make sure you don't get blown up" I said.

I asked Gwen to stay temporarily in one of the houses and sent some guards to Grandma. I hope that's enough, so far I just need to make sure Grandma and Gwen are safe, then everything will be fine, I hope. My phone is ringing, it's Kevin.

"Hi, Sharon" Kevin said.

"Kevin" I said.

"How are you?"

"I'm fine"

"Good. You know, if something happens, please tell me"

"Okay. But what happened to you?"

"What happened to me? Nothing, I'm fine"

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. Are you busy tonight? Maybe we can watching movie or anything you want"

"Okay"

"I'll pick you up at 8"

"Okay"

He sounds weird, what happened to him? Maybe he was tired, maybe. What can Oswald do? Sending a bomb, maybe. I don't have to think about it, I'll just focus on the life I'm about to live. Oswald wouldn't stand still, I knew that, but so far Baku had closed the gap for him to seek revenge and there was nothing he usually did. There is a possibility that he will kill me outright but I was prepared that if he did, I would reveal all his secrets and destroy him.

Now I'm going to forget about it a bit and get ready to go. I went with Kevin, he took me to a night club. I don't like it here, I hate this hustle and bustle. But he seems to be enjoying it. Hang on.

I went to the bathroom. At least it's not as noisy here as it is out there. I wash my hands, a woman in black is standing behind me, she looks at me.

"Who you are?" I asked.

"I'm Maya Oswald's assistant, Jules Grey. Maya tells a lot about you"

"Really?"

"Yes. You caught her attention"

"Maybe, cause her husband"

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. I guess"

He walks away. I sat next to Kevin, I saw he was quite enjoying all of this. How could it be? I started to feel uncomfortable.

"What's wrong?" Kevin asked.

"What?" I said.

"You're not enjoying this"

"Shouldn't I be the one who should make you happy, I'm the one who asked you out"

He pulled my hand through the crowd. Where will he take me this time.

"You want to go somewhere?" Kevin asked.

"I don't know where to go" I said.

"All right, how about we go to the music club?"

"Which music club?"

"I don't know, what you want?"

"Just bring me to somewhere"

"Is something bothering you?"

"How about we go to the cafe? One of my friends will sing there"

I thought about that woman, why is it like she wants to tell something, I know Oswald is asking me to stay away but why does this feel weird, what am I thinking. What is Oswald going to do this time, I'm starting to get confused. Alright, I'm getting lost in my thoughts, I didn't realize Kevin was talking.

"What happened?" Kevin asked.

"No, nothing happened" I said.

"Are you sure? Looks like you're thinking about something"

"No. I mean, I have something in my mind, but not something big"

"You can tell me. Don't burden your mind"

"I'm fine"

"You keep saying you're fine, but I know you're lying. You don't need to hide your problem, maybe I can help you"

"I'm just thinking about some tests next week"

"Okay. Well, I can't help you with that, maybe I can find someone to hel you"

"No. I think I can do it, maybe"

We arrived at a cafe with an outdoor concept. Kevin and I sat down. A woman approached us.

"Kevin, you didn't tell me you were coming" she said.

She looks at me.

"Alice, this is Sharon. Sharon, my friend, Alice" Kevin said.

"Hi" I said.

"Long time no see you" Alice said.

What the f**k is that.

"I'm a little busy lately. And you?" Kevin said.

"As you know" she said.

"Good for you" Kevin said.

"I gotta go, see you again" she said.

Alice was about to walk away, but she turned and kissed Kevin on the cheek. I didn't expect that. Kevin looked at me, I pretended not to see it. We sat down and ordered drinks.

"Alice is my old friend" Kevin said.

"Are you close to her?" I asked.

"Yeah, but not really"

I'm not sure, the girl kissed him, even if it was just a cheek I think there was more. Soon our order came and Alice came on stage, she sang a romantic song. They looked at each other again and again. Not that I'm jealous but I think it's better if I'm not here, the girl looked at me with a sneer. When Kevin held my hand the girl's face turned a little annoyed. I'm starting to think the girl likes Kevin.

"Are you enjoy it?" Kevin asked.

"Yeah, thanks" I said.

"You don't have to think about your exams, I know you can pass them all"

"Okay"

The girl came up to us, she kissed Kevin and sat beside him. She hugged Kevin but Kevin let go of her hand, the girl looked annoyed when Kevin put her hand.

"You are Sharon, right" Alice said.

"Yes" I said.

"Are you guys dating?" Alice asked.

"No" I said.

"We're just friends" Kevin said.

His face immediately changed as if he had won the lottery, what does this girl want and why Kevin brought me here. Alright, I'm a little annoyed, because this girl is starting to get a little annoying. I know she has a past with Kevin but that doesn't mean this girl has to make me feel like a statue, they start talking a lot, I don't know what they are talking about.

Alright, I'm getting annoyed, and Kevin just focuses on her. I shouldn't have gone with him otherwise he would just ignore me. The girl's cell phone rings and she has to leave. Alright, I'm pissed and Kevin looks at me.

"Sharon, are you okay?" Kevin asked.

"Me? I'm fine. Why?" I said.

"Are you pissed of?"

"No. Of course not"

"I didn't mean to upset you, we haven't seen each other in a long time and we used to be pretty close"

"It's okay, I understand"

"I'm sorry, what should I do so you don't get upset?"

"What? I'm not upset"

"Yeah, you upset"

"No, I'm not"

"You don't have to always hide how you feel, just say it"

I'm annoyed, but I can't say I'm annoyed to see him talk to his old friends, but I get annoyed when I'm ignored and they act like I'm a statue. At least don't act like I don't exist, even though I hear everything they say, but I don't understand what they're saying. I could only listen for more than 20 minutes of them talking until the new elf girl Kevin realized I was here.
