Alpha Kingsley POV
After setting arrangements for the Blood Shadow warriors, I had returned to the manor with my beta, Andrew, to also put things in place, only to chance upon the drama between Olivia and Kate.
Kate was the first to see me and started sobbing out loud. Her face looked wronged and her body was fragile. She fell to my feet, weeping and pointing accusing fingers at Olivia.
If I didn’t know better, I would have believed her and been moved with compassion to comfort her and confront my mate, but despite knowing all these, I still pretended to be ignorant.
“What happened here?” I had asked authoritatively.
Kate and her cohorts wasted no time throwing Olivia under the bus, and even some pack members in the living room supported their accusations.
