The sacred lake was on the northern side of the sacred Ground. It had waterfalls by the side and clear spring water.
I liked soaking in the water anytime I visited the sacred Ground. The lake had this refreshing and soothing effect on the body. It was a perfect spot for relaxing and thinking.
Rumors had it that the water carried healing power, and even deadly sicknesses and diseases could be cured if you entered and soaked at an auspicious time. Some said that someone had regrown a broken limb by bathing in the lake.
But whether this was true, I didn’t know. However, I knew that the sacred Ground was a special place with many strange and supernatural phenomena; hence, it wasn’t uncanny for the lake to have healing powers, though some of the rumors might be exaggerated.
