Why does the universe hate me? I've done everything right. Good grades. I respected my parents and everyone I know.
"You stupid b***h," Scott says as he throws the plate at the wall.
"Please stop, I'm sorry," I say, tears beginning to roll down my face.
"I sick of you. Do you know how lucky you are to have me? None of the other boys even gave you a glance. That's how ugly and repulsive you are." He says
"You don't mean that," I tell him
"Don't I?, the only reason I'm with you is that I because I felt sorry for you. Everyone just thought you were a s**t, at first I didn't believe them but now I know that what they were saying is true"
"Please stop," I say as I burst out into tears
"What wrong, can't you handle the truth. That you are pathetic, worthless and a piece of trash that no one will never love"
"Why are you being like this?" I aks him
"like what? truthful?" he said
"NO.HURTFUL" I shout back at him, tears still pouring down my face.
"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU SHOUTING AT LIKE THAT" he yells in my face
I do not understand. What did I do wrong in my life to deserve this? This is not the guy I fell in love within the junior year of high school, this person standing right in front of me here is a monster
"Don't you get it, no one loves you especially your mummy and daddy since they're not here anymore are they?" he asks with a grin on his face
The sad thing about what he was saying was true. my parents died in a car crash 2 years ago and I'm an only child so I didn't have any close relatives. luckily my parents had siblings my dad has three older sisters and my mum has 1 younger sister and 2 older brothers. I had 4 aunts 2 uncles so I also had a few cousins
I was 16 when my parents died in that crash and unfortunately still a minor so I had to go live with one of my aunts or uncles. I decided to go live with my dad's sister Rachel because she was so fun. she had 2 boys and 1 girl. The boys were twins called lewis(10) and (Lucas) so sometimes I got them mixed up and the girl was called lily(12).
"I am actually sick of you," Scott says pulling me out of my thoughts.
"I do not care," I say back
SMACK!!!
I gasp. He just slapped me across the face
"Argh, stop hitting me please" I cry out but he does not listen, he just keeps on hitting me harder and harder with each blow
"No, do you know what I am gonna do?"
"What"? I ask
" I am gonna teach you something called respect," he says as he grabs me by the hair and starts dragging me into the room.
I left that apartment with a broken rib, a broken leg and a black eye. He also decided to grace me with scars all over my back.
That was the last time I saw Scott Meyers
5 years later
"When are you gonna get a boyfriend," My friend indigo asks me
"I'm not ready for a relationship, not since what happened with 'you know who' " I respond
"Girl that was 5 years ago, and not all men are like him" she reminds me for like the 3rd time this year
"I know but-"I begin
"-But nothing we are going out to fight and we are going to find you a boyfriend that treats you right and do not worry I will help to choose the perfect man" she interrupts my sentence.
"Fine," I tell her
"Come on its 5 pm let's go home and get ready," Indigo says while pulling me
2 minutes later
"What are you going to wear," she asks me
"Maybe a top and jeans with my converses" I reply
Indigo gives me a look hoping that I'm kidding but I'm not, I do not like getting all dressed up
"You are joking right?" she asks
"Nope what wrong with my choice of clothing"
"Nothing, if you were going out with your friends but to look for a boyfriend, that is not the best option," she says while shaking her head
"Well, what should I wear then ?" I ask
She goes into the closet and comes back 30 seconds later shoving clothes and a pair of shoes into my hand
"Here try these on," she tells me.
I then walk into the closet regretting telling her I would go out with her

"Wow you look amazing," she says to me
"Thank you," I say smiling at her widely
I am gonna be honest but I actually feel so amazing right now.

"How do I look" indigo ask me
"Like a model" I respond
Indigo has on a black dress with over the knee heels a long coat with a Gucci bag.

"Come on let's go it is already 8 o'clock," I tell her
"Coming let me just grab purse, "she says
"Ok let's go," I say once she's back
Indigo and I get into my Mercedes-Benz and I start driving to club forever 21

"What are you doing tomorrow," indigo asks me
"Work, come home then I do not know after that," I tell her
I am a receptionist for a company.
"Hopefully you would have scored a date," she says
I look at her to see a smirk on her lips.
What if none wants to date me as Scott said.
No Alex do not think about that guy anymore he is not apart of your life and hopefully never will again
"Hopefully," I say with my fingers crossed
"Before you agree to date anyone, I have to meet them first."
"Why," I ask
"So I know I can trust the person with you," she says
"Oh here we are I tell her" ad I go to park near the entrance
"You ready," she asks
I nod "ready" I respond
Am I ready?
"Let's do this," she says
