“Girl! Did you hear that voice?” Lisa asked on our way upstairs. “That is how a man should sound.”
I laughed and shook my head. “I can’t believe he brought me food,” I said as we got into the apartment.
“Right? It’s so weird that a man would bring you food after work.”
I recognized Ella’s sarcasm immediately and frowned at her. Just then we heard the door bell and that’s when I remembered the food I had ordered. “I totally forgot that I ordered some food already.”
I went to the door to take the order. “Well, I could always keep this for tomorrow just in case someone has another date and doesn’t cook anything. Hopefully this time your boyfriend won’t forget to keep the key.”
