I was still reeling from the excitement of the board meeting that morning when I got back to Lisa’s apartment. I had exceeded my expectations and I’m sure I had exceeded Artemis’ too. He had been too stunned to speak after I was done and when the others had stood to give me an ovation, he had been unable to stop beaming at me. After work hours, the board had invited me out to join them for some drinks.
