I was tapping away at my computer when I heard the familiar footsteps of a certain someone headed my way. I forced myself neck to stay down and not give in to the temptation to look up at the boss. Was he leaving already? I wondered. Or else why was he out of his office? Well, I was going to find out any moment now because Artemis had stopped in front of my desk.
“I must thank you,” Artemis started and I finally looked up. Since I was sitting, he appeared to be towering over me, his eyes looking directly into mine. I bit down on my cheeks to prevent the blush from spreading to my cheeks. My neck was already on fire from the way he was looking at me.
