Artemis’ POV
I was shocked and slightly embarrassed to hear Sean’s words. He was gay? How hadn’t I noticed that before? He always seemed so attached to Ella that I could never consider any other option for his sexuality. But it all made sense now. I had thought that a lot of the things he put in his story were a little queer and now I could tell why. He was queer! Sean’s friendship with Ella was as platonic as a friendship could be which was why she was always amused whenever I got jealous about them.
I felt so stupid as I looked at the doughnut box tossed on the floor. I read the brand name at the top of the box and realized that it was that new pastry shop which had opened just down the road. I was definitely going to have to replace those for her and perhaps compensate Sean for it too
