Ella’s POV
Lisa asked me what I was talking about but when I mentioned the phone call and some other suspicious behavior I had noticed from Terry, she didn’t believe me.
“You know, Terry told me you would try to pull some trick like this but I didn’t believe him. How dare you Ella?”
And this was exactly why I hadn’t told her. “I’m not lying Lisa. Please, you have to believe me. What do I stand to gain by lying?”
