CHAPTER 10
Illan checked the last lock as he looked out the window and could see one of Wolf’s men, Navar, walking the perimeter. He still didn’t like having a guard outside his home, but he understood the reasoning, and besides it made his mates happy and he was all for that.
Illan couldn’t help but think about his long-time friends, Destrain and Clove. What they must be going through right now, Illan wouldn’t wish on anyone. To have the man you love die and then be gifted with him once again was amazing, but not something that typically happened. Not even in their world. Illan was all the more grateful for the men he shared his own life with, but knew that too many times he could have been in the same situation as Destrain before Clove was brought back to him.
It was still Christmas
