As I opened my eyes and escaped the darkness, I was welcomed by the amazing grey eyes I loved so much.
"Christian," I called out. He helped me sit up and told me he loved me. I wanted nothing more than to kiss him.
"Uncle Klaus," I called out. He came closer and gave me a hug. "I've missed you."
"I have missed you little one," he said.
"Thank you for coming. I know exposing our kind was never a good idea but I needed your help," I said.
"You are family, and he killed my brother," he replied.
"Will you go back to the shadow," I asked him.
"Yes, it's for the best, but one day we will make our way out into the world again," he told me. Christian helped me up and then he took me home. We spent the entire night in each other's arms. It was a beautiful, peaceful night.
