Chapter 8It was going on eleven o’clock that night. Oliver and Ron had dropped off Norah at his parents, then headed downtown to meet Dylan and Chris as well as Detective James Harris with Homicide. Oliver parked along the curb before the Dollhouse Museum downtown, then sat back in the seat. The front windows of the museum were boarded up. The glass front door was covered with black paint. From where he sat, the chill from that place seeped into his bones. Full of creepy, life-like dolls in its heyday, it was now a burned-out shell of a brick building. Never remodeled, never demolished, left to ruin as the downtown street around it flourished. Perhaps the most haunted place in Spring Harbor, it attracted those who craved the darker things of life.
