On the day of Chris and James’ wedding early that summer, Oliver stood before the bathroom mirror, tugging on the sides of the blue silk tie. In the living room, Norah giggled as their dog, Adeline, chased her around the sofa. Ron was in the middle of it, his laughter rich as he urged Adeline on. Today, Oliver faced his reflection with a light heart. Happiness had replaced all the evil.
