Chapter 3Ahead of Oliver, the sunrise lit the sky with shades of pink. No one hid in the branches of the willows trees in the backyard. The air lacked any dangerous energy. The danger from hours before could’ve just been a bad dream except that Ron stood at the front door with a police officer.
