BRIAR'S POV -- The sun was busy rising over the mountains and stretch of trees, the dark blues turning lighter, becoming a paler shade of crystal blue before it slowly bled into a delicate purple and then a bright, warm pink that stretched across the horizon, illuminating the color onto the faint clouds littering the sky, but I felt nothing as I stared at the brightness in the sky. I was empty, ruined and broken hearted. Where is he? I feel like I've been battered and bruised without someone laying a hand on me, and I wish that someone did-- because this exhaustion washing over me isn't just physical, but emotional, like someone had dragged a dagger on the inside of my chest before pushing it into my heart, and if someone did beat me to a pulp, it would’ve been easier to place the blame—
