Chapter Seven Jessica had none of the reservations about seeing Paul that she’d had about contacting Larry. Paul was primarily a friend, and always had been, but for that brief period when they’d both been swept away by the same force and had happily wrapped themselves in it. Paul wasn’t the love of her life, never had been. He’d been a great teammate, though, and a great playmate as well. She looked forward to seeing him without any need to rekindle their past romance. She had no particular aversion, either, though. They’d been good lovers in their time, and their expectations of each other were realistic.
