Chapter Twenty-Eight No, she decided, calling him was definitely not the way to go. Instead, she got into her car and headed onto the highway, making the hour-long drive in to his office. She wasn’t sure how she would be received, either by Larry or by his employees, but she had to try. If he pushed her away—well, she’d done the same to him. She could feel the eyes on her as she walked through the office toward Larry’s office. The receptionist had waved her through without a word, and that silence had continued. No one spoke as she passed through the large area where the designers worked and the workmen gathered before and after and between jobs. In the eternal minute or two that it took her to cross the room, she questioned whether they were angry with her or embarrassed by her presence
