Chapter 20October 14th, 2014 Bramson Bay, Oregon I’d missed it. Sanderson had died and it didn’t break the connection he had established with the dead things. In turn that let the witches outside feed more energy into the dead things, which in turn fed down the connection and woke Sanderson. I came off the couch in a smooth motion before Sanderson moved more than up not his hands and knees. His head snapped around so fast I expected his neck to crack just from the speed of it. I fired. Missed. He scuttled backward faster than anything human into the small bathroom, his hand darting out to grab the door and pull it closed after him. My shot exploded the lock.
