Athena forced a smile as herself and Evander made their way to the front of the vip entrance, his muscular arm wrapped tightly around her shoulders, providing her with a frisk of warmth. Although she knew it was forced, she couldn't help but feel loved and protected by the man. Sometimes she believed she really did like Evander, loved him perhaps and maybe she just hated the fact she was forced into a marriage with him without her consent. Possibly. Her eyes wandered the dimly lit hallway where a glimmer of colorful lights would appear every few seconds. The music wasn't too loud, unlike the average club, it was more relaxed where one would go for cocktails and whiskey rather than pints and shots, although they still sold them, they just weren't wildly popular with the wealthy. Evander stopped himself, his fingers gripping Athenas chin, however not too hard, he didn't want anyone to notice. "you dare make a fool of me tonight" he whispered with a stern voice, his cold eyes focused on Athenas. "Yes, sir" she replied softly. Her eyes widened with shock as her husband's lips connected for the first time in the marriage, besides the ceremony of their wedding day. She kissed back, of course, knowing she had to obey his every order tonight. It was very rare they went places together, Athena presumed she was only there to symbolize a trophy, which she understood. "You shall stay here, I will grab you a cocktail" Evander spoke, gesturing towards the black, leather couch situated near the dance floor. Athena nodded in response, delicately advancing towards the space she was instructed to go to. Her eyes grazed around, a pole situated on the high rise stage, an almost nude woman teasing the wealthy gentleman who had eyes on her. She jumped, slightly startled in her seat-it was only Evander. The veins on his hand stuck out as he passed Athenas drink towards her. "This is lovely, thank you" she smiled turning her head to glance at her husband as she took a sip of the frozen, purple cocktail. "Yeah, yeah" he mumbled in response, shaking her off. After a few cocktails, Athena started to feel fuzzy, her vision became slightly blurred, not to the point it impacted her. She was feeling tipsy, who could blame her, she hadn't had a sip of alcohol in what felt like forever, well since she got married. Evander started becoming slightly aggetated, his eyes lingering. There was no sight of the gang leader anywhere. "Let's dance?" Athena suggested, her small hand falling towards Evander thigh. His dark eyes flickered towards her. "No" he said sternly, his tongue swiping over his lips as Athena was quick to remove her hand after his reply. "Go to the bar, get yourself a drink" Evander instructed, handing her his platinum credit card as he lifted himself of the seat and disappeared somewhere else. A sigh fell from her lips, balancing the card between her fingers, a sad look in her eyes appeared, although she was in a drunken daze, she couldn't help but question her marriage with such a cold man. She made her way to the bar, only one other person waiting however he was in the middle of being served. "A vodka shot and a martini cocktail please" she spoke with very little confidence in her voice which resulted in her voice cracking slightly. The bartender raised his eyebrow, noticing a single tear rolling down her cheek. "What's up beautiful lady?" he questioned, attempting to soothe her as he made her requested drinks. "Marriage" she smiled sadly with a small laugh following after. He looked at her sympathetically. "I'll join you on that vodka shot" he smiled at her, pouring himself a shot. Without hesitation Athena swung the shot back, her throat burning as a bit of vomit rose to the back of her mouth. "Careful there" the bartender spoke softly, watching as Athena wiped her lips and took a sip of her cocktail to remove the horrid taste from her mouth. She flashed a smile as she wondered away from the bar, hoping to find Evander. At this point, she was aware she was drunk, her vision cutting to black every couple of Seconds. "Care for a dance, pretty lady?" a deep, voice spoke in her ear which resulted in her to jump, spilling her drink slightly. She quickly turned around, a drunken smile twitching on her lips. "Of course my dear husband" she grinned, rocking on the heels of her feet, giggling away to herself. A blonde haired man who's hair was swooped across his forehead in a neat yet slightly messy mannor, his deep blue eyes staring intensely at her as his teeth caught his lip. Athena couldn't even mutter out any words, she gasped as his hands fell to her waist, swaying her slightly. Evander looked around to assure Athena was still in sight, his eyes growing cold as they fell onto his wife dancing with another man. "Come to mine, we will finish this then" Evander spoke to the men he was settling business with. "I can't leave you for one second" he snarled, his hand harshly grabbing Athenas wrist as he pulled her away from the other male. Evander dragged her outside. "You stupid w***e, what did I tell you" he shouted, his hand raising towards her face were a harsh connection followed. Athena stumbled backwards in shock, her eyes wide. Due to her highly drunken state she didn't take the abuse her husband was throwing at her. "I hate you" she screamed, braying the taller, much more bigger man on the chest. "Feelings mutal" Evander snarled, breathing heavily through his nose as he pushed Athena backwards, her small body falling to the floor which resulted in her head smacking of the cold, concrete floor. Then everything went black.
