Rowan's POV I closed the door behind me and walked. My mind wasn't in the corridor. It wasn't anywhere near the corridor honestly. It was still in that room with Ash's voice saying Alec has to be on the list and the way she had looked at me when she said it, not accusing, just certain, and that was somehow worse than if she had been angry about it. I turned it over as I walked. Ash hadn't directly said Alec killed Philis. I knew that. The words hadn't been those exact words. But the implication had sat in the room between us like something with weight and I had felt it and I was still feeling it now and the more I turned it over the less it made sense. Alec had been coming out of the hideout. Not the library. The passageway connected to the library yes but that wasn't the same thing
