Rowan's POV I stood in the doorway for a long moment, my hand still resting on the frame as if I needed its support, staring at the bed where Ash lay asleep. His chest rose and fell in slow, even breaths, steady and peaceful, as though the world had never once been unkind to him. The blankets were pulled up to his shoulder one arm tucked beneath the pillow, the other resting loosely over his stomach inside the blanket.
