Ash's POV
I stood at the very edge of the field, the full moon hanging huge and merciless overhead, bathing the entire academy grounds in cold silver light that sank straight into my bones and set my fever ablaze all over again.
Everyone was gathered in loose packs, alphas already growling low in their throats, betas shifting restlessly from foot to foot, the air thick with the scent of anticipation and wildness as instructors barked final instructions for the hunt.
Devan appeared at my side, eyes bright with moon-mad excitement, his grin wide enough to show the sharp edge of his canines already lengthening.
"Ash, come on, this is the night, we hunt together, you and me, tearing through the trees, taking down whatever runs, we'll be unstoppable, what do you say, partner up right now?"
