CHAPTER 4

King's POV

Seeing the look on her face right now is so priceless, and I would do anything to see it again. “You won't do anything bad to me, right?” she asked, her eyes blinking rapidly like they were going to fall off. “Does it matter if I do anything to you? You committed a great offense,” I answered, my voice rigid and unshaken.

“Alpha Hayden, the chiefs are around for the meeting,” the Beta walked in and said, his eyes fixed on me. “You should leave, I'll be there soon,” I replied, not moving my gaze away from her. “What is your name?” I asked her immediately Lucas, the Beta left. “Huh?” She said, raising her heads up.

“You do not want me to repeat myself, little wolf,” I said, my eyes boring down into every part of her body.

“Aria, I'm Aria Anderson,” she responded. “Cool, get out!” I said, rising to my feet and entering the inner room.

*THE MEETING ROOM.

The beginning concerning the welfare and situation of the Arthdal pack with the chiefs went on and on for hours. We went on strategizing on how to get rid of the rogues and how to strengthen more warriors to move in for the fight.

It was a long deliberation and the thought of killing my brother wouldn't stop ringing in my head. After a long while, we finally came to a conclusion as all matters about the pack were finally tabled down.

“With all this, I believe the meeting can come to an end. Let's not forget to continue to do our work diligently in keeping every member of the pack safe,” I said, rising to my feet.

“Long live the King!”

“Long live the King!”

They chanted and as I took a step to proceed out of the meeting room, Lucas tapped me. My eyebrows raised to give him a ‘what happened’ look, only to see that one of the chiefs raised up a hand.

“Speak!” I said, already bored by the whole meeting. “Yes, my king, the full moon gathering is coming up,” he said.

“I know what about it?” I asked, my expression changing at the thought of what he meant.

“We were thinking about what it would be like when we would get a Luna, your Highness,” he said, bowing down in fear. “Should you worry about that, yet, Mister? Whenever I find my Queen, it is whenever you see her!” I said, moving straight out of the room and not looking back.

*A FEW DAYS LATER.

After several plans of trying to fight out the rogues, it was as though they kept adding up, but today we're finally ending them.

The sun had gone down when Lucas knocked on my door and entered my room and said, “A guard just reported to me that the lady you asked to see you that day had been captured.”

“Get me my horse and sword,” I replied, entering my inner room. My brother loves to play with fire and this time he won't go without getting burnt. The thought of his hands on my woman made my eyes darken.

Soon, I was out on the field and this time on a killing spree. I bet my brother loves this side of me. As much as I had wanted to stay out of being the one to fight this battle, my brother had called out the devil in me. My body raged in hot blood as I sliced through one of the rogue's necks. Another one came rushing at me, but they were no match for me, never.

Lucas raced down behind me also, even as I got down from the horse and transformed into my wolf's form and let out a loud growl that shook the whole field while I went again fighting the rogues, even to the very last one.

“Where's your leader?!” I growled out loudly, this time transforming back to my human form even as I sighted from afar Aria's body curled up in a corner of the field with some other captured member of the pack. My brother would better remain in hiding forever, I thought. Moving forward and walking towards where she was.

Raising her up, I found out she had gone very cold. Quickly, I carried her in my hands and adjusted her body well in my arms.

“No one dares to lay a finger on my woman and live!” I growled out loud enough for everyone to hear, even as they bowed their heads while I walked out of the field with her cold body in my arms.
