Adrienne’s POV
My eyes glittered proudly as they swept the room. The lights dimmed, and the spotlights raced swiftly across the seats on the first and second floors. It circled the ceiling before finally settling on Jake and the deeply radiant blue tanzanite gem he held in his hand.
Overhead, outside the villa, I could hear the explosion of fireworks, dazzling the onlookers outside. As they faded away, I smiled brazenly across the audience as thunderous applause and a cacophony of discussion rang out.
Slowly, they entered my ears.
“By the Moon Goddess, that was spectacular! What a night! I’ll be bragging about this until I’m eighty!”
“Me too! That was intense just now. Ava really has guts. Even a wolf like me was impressed when she stood her ground in front of Alpha Jake like that.”
