Cerberus. The second most feared creature of the underworld lay stretched out across the black ash ground fast asleep, well, 2 of his heads anyway, his middle head lay sideways his tongue spread across the ground like a fan while the other to it's left drooled everywhere it's head moved to, the third head chewed on a golden chain that bound them to the notorious Hell's Gate where nothing entered and definitely nothing left without entering Cerberus's mouth's first.
Out of nowhere one of his ears c****d, then another the head that chewed continuously on the chain froze in place with his mouth open the heavy chain hanging from his exposed teeth.
Cerberus then jumped to his feet standing as straight and still as a lamppost at first then each of his heads began to search the surroundings, carefully sniffing the air, finally he let out one long howl that would have scared the s**t out of anyone who heard it or was standing close by, shaking his heads he let the slobber from earlier fly everywhere, His body began to bounce around excitedly only stopping to let rip a loud bark, as it left his mouth it echoed throughout the underworld and into hundreds of dark caverns that lit up almost immediately, That was his wake up call letting everything in there domain know something was coming. His heads continued to bark one after the other trying to get the attention of some-one or some-thing with his eyes pierced on a large Black Castle or was it a mansion, or fortress it seemed to change with each bark. The structure soon stopped at a large skull face like in a pirate movie only this one oozed death with steam escaping its ears and blood dripping from its hollow eye's his bark lowered in pitch quickly as he knew he achieved his goal.
" CERBERUS!!! " Boomed a voice. It's monotone sound silenced the cries that were forever heard in the underworld. He was the most feared In the realm. HADES. Cerberus pulled on his chain over and over again trying to free himself only to fail miserably.
The skull structure changed into a Mansion with two solid wooden doors as he ceased his barking, it was surrounded by a mote that connected to a slow-flowing river that stretched for miles not just any river the river of the dead. Arms, legs, torso's and heads rouse and then disappeared beneath the many soul's that inhabited it, Heads would rise looking like they were trying to breathe then cry for mercy before being pulled back down to what seemed like a lava flow, the current took them in the direction of an old wooden bridge, it's foundation crumbled a little, as the many spirits flooded beneath it squeezing to pass through, as they did there cries turned into a whisper like they were finally at peace, haha peace in the underworld, Yep, never going to happen. The river then disappeared into a dark cave known only by Hades and his minion's where it led.
A Large figure stepped out into the dry atmosphere, he pushed open the heavy wooden door's angrily making one of the door's split as it hit the rock walls, His huge hands closed tight then loosened like he was trying to calm himself, he took big steps toward Cerberus, being the size of five men he was intimidating, his chest tight against his torn singlet showing nothing but muscle taking in several deep breaths his Gold eye's landed on his favorite pet, Cerberus barked at him anxious to be released.
" Quiet Cerberus," he growled getting closer.
Hades short dark hair was messy on his head like he had just gotten out of bed, he had semi-long lashes and perfectly shaped brows that matched flawlessly with his manly facial structure, even his suppose to be black lip's were as normal as a man's lip's should be luscious and kissable, if not for his dark aura that screamed almighty power he might've been married.
His pale features were expressionless except for his jawline that was partly covered with overgrowth that moved as he ground his teeth together annoyed, his eye's flashed red as everything almost stood completely still,
" Seems a war is brewing above," he said patting Cerberus's head.
" more work for us," he then looked at Cerberus curiously his actions weren't that of a coming war.
" So why are you moaning?" he then asked with a growl pulling on one of his ears and looking into the eye's of Cerberus's centered head, a small smile creased his face, if anyone or thing was to see it he would probably kill them or torcher them for eternity either one he would be happy with.
Snapping his fingers the chain's dropped to the ground, Cerberus bolted like any pup did when released from its hold, it was like freedom, Immediately he moved toward the mansion, Hades watched him with a little concern as he stood close to the riverbank, turning several times then dropping his body facing the large cave beyond the wooden bridge, he whimpered a little then lowered his heads to wait. Hades cracked his neck from left to right finally following him.
" Away from the edge Cerberus, " he mumbled waving one arm,
" You know Asmodeus ( Lava King.) hates you that close to him."
Cerberus leaned one of his heads over the edge and snotted into the river he moved back quickly as a large bubble began to form and pop sending small blobs of lava at him.
" Stop it, the both of you," growled Hades sitting on a lounge that he conjured up with just a thought.
" So this is where she will come from is it?" Hades asked getting comfortable.
Cerberus raised his middle head with his long tongue hanging out as what seemed like a smile appeared on his already ugly face. Hades closed his eye's grinning.
"Finally," he whispered,
" our girl will be home to stay." He gave Cerberus a nod.
Cerberus let out one final howl to let all the creatures of the underworld know their little goddess was returning, this time for good.
