Friend or Foe

( Zinora's POV )

I had never left our own land's before, it was surreal the beauty that was beyond our lands was like a different Planet, The color seemed brighter, the animal's livelier and roaming carelessly in our path free and unafraid, there were plants I didn't know existed, butterflies I had only seen in the book's when I was allowed in the library, I felt like I was seeing the world for the first time, I was at peace as I stopped just outside the Vampire Territory. I didn't want to cross over just yet, I needed to see more, feel the difference in the land. As I turned in excitement I caught Blake and Aiden just staring at me.

" What?" I asked.

" The smile on your face, It's beautiful," said Blake happily.

I heard the sound of a camera and looked toward Aiden, he lowered his head to look at the stolen pick of me. I didn't care, I was free, I could run? the thought was there.

" What about the Vampire Nation Zinora?" whispered Tatiana in my head.

" If you run."

" I know Tatianna it was just a thought," I replied sadly I didn't want to see any of this anymore.

" Give her this Tatianna, let her be." Growled Marcus.

I sucked in my lip's for a moment then lowered my head slightly, knowing nothing for me would last, at least I could dream, looking across to the tree line was the border to there land's and also the place where my life would end.

I felt something slip into my right hand when I looked down even further a small smile came to my face a few vine's of honeysuckles were placed into it. Ariella rested her head on my shoulder and taking hold of my arm completely her breath slowing as she rested. I love Honeysuckles, the first time I stumbled upon them I got my nose stung by a bee a funny moment for me but memorable, the smell was like no other flower I had smelt and the sweet taste of its Nectar, nothing could compare in my book's.

" how about we carry on to help and you go for a run?" Ariella then said rubbing my arm and looking toward Blake to see if it was ok.

" Aiden and Ariella can stay with you, I will head onto the castle," 

He saw my eye's change slightly even when I tried to hide he would know, we had been together too long for him not to, I had lost interest in what a run would bring, I didn't want to feel that freedom, I had never had it in my life, the trek here was enough I don't want to feel that good anymore, in fact, I don't want to feel anything.

" It's ok," I replied putting a flower into my mouth and sucking on it, dropping the rest onto the ground I moved ahead of them taking the lead, there was still another hour before we got to the castle.

" Aiden, contact the Prince tell him we have just crossed the border to make sure their people don't mistake us for Rogues," Aiden nodded quickly dropping back and pulling out his phone, 

" on it."

      We were just about to reach an open field when Tatianna told me to slow down, I opened my mind link and everyone followed, Silence surrounded us not a good sign,

" what do you think Blake," I asked through the link, he moved beside me slowly raising his head to sniff the air, I followed suit as he growled,

" Rogue's, why would they be this far away from there home?"

I didn't know what to say but couldn't just attack them on Vampire land not unless provoked. I thought for a while then lowered. 

" Go ahead Blake, Ariella and I will scout the area to see how many there are, then we will follow as soon as we are done,"  Blake shook his head, I rolled my eye's then hit his leg.

" It will be easier for the 2 of us, get permission from the King for us to kill them is that hard," Blake folded his arm's like a child and stood his ground.

" Do as you're fucken told," growled Marcus in everyone's head.

Blake closed his eye's in pain and c****d his head slightly, while our friends almost dropped to there knees. Blake looked down at me angrily,

" Control him, My Queen, he is getting out of hand," Whispered Blake.

" I will do as you say, but you are not to attack, Understood." he linked walking out into the open glaring at me.

" Understood," I replied.

      Ariella and I moved to the right of the forest as I watched the other's move toward the large castle, the ground's were luscious and green, the castle garden's and hedges were surrounded by rose bushes nothing but red the castle stood at least 5 floor's high and it looked like it had been renovated to the side it was more like a Large Mansion.

There was little cover as the trees became more scarce Ariella's eyes became a bright pink as she grew nervous, 

" I can sense danger ahead, Zinora do we move on?" she asked

The silence was suddenly broken by loud hissing followed by growl's, I nodded moving up to a tree and peering around it carefully, a track made of white pebble's lay ahead, just on the other side were 12 Rogue's and 3 Vampire's.

" You are on Vampire land Rogue unless you are with lady Zinora? you need to leave." growled the largest of the Vampires. They were clothed in plain black trackie pants and black t-shirt's, the Rogues all laughed as if it were a Joke.

" We are waiting for them also," mumbled one of the Rogues,

" Besides I don't think 3 on 12 will be a problem for us to keep our secret do you?" The wind suddenly changed direction and it wouldn't be hard to smell us being werewolf or Vampires we had been caught.

" f**k," I whispered.

I stepped out from behind the tree with Ariella at my side, the Rogue's froze all but one, as they caught sight of the 2 of us, there eye's sharp and ready for any attack, the Vampire's turned hissing as though it were a trap for them. I held up my hand's telling Ariella through our link to stay on the white pebble's it would be easy for her to take out the Rogue's using her powers.

" Who are you?" the largest Vampire hissed holding two swords in front of him.

" I am Lady Zinora, this is my Third Ariella," I stopped and waited for a reply. He bowed his head turning back to the Rogue's finally trusting my words.

" So it is true," laughed the Rogue,

" My King told me to come and find out if you had left the Alpha's territory," he let out another laugh shaking his head. Good, he finally shut his mouth so I thought.

" if It wasn't for seeing you right now, I never would have believed it, " 

" Look, I have just made an 8hr trek," I said quickly trying to stop him from blabbering on. 

" I am tired, hungry and not in my right mind Rogue, speak or f**k off,"  A Rogue laughed,

" Love the Language, Princess." 

I stood in front of the Vampire's to show them I was on there side there faces were a bit shocked from my language but meh I just rolled my eyes at them. The Rogue casually moved toward me till he was directly looking down on me like I was his Omega, I could tell he was used to this, so he must be someone of high ranking I could sense he was holding something back as well a power maybe.

" Filthy mouth for a Lady Zinora, but so beautiful." 

His dark brown hair was in dreads down the side of his face that was dirty, well beyond dirty it was like someone had taken a hand full of mud and just caked it on his face like a mask, his breath fanned down on me expecting the normal Rogue shitty smelling breath, I caught a whiff of mint he was definitely no normal Rogue. 

He raised his hand to touch my face and Instantly Marcus took over, grabbing his wrist and snapping it backward. He dropped to his knees in pain, the other Rogue's pounced but Ariella held them off with the pebbles as they flew at them some hard enough to feel like bullet's embedding in their flesh.

" that is just the beginning," she said,

" now back off or this witch is gonna let loose." they all lowered as their leader growled at them. 

Closing my eyes angrily I pushed Marcus into the back of my mind, 

" Control your-self Marcus,"  I mumbled through gritted teeth,

" No-one touches My Queen." he snapped. I pushed him even further back then put up a wall completely blocking him out.

" I am so sorry but As I said I am tired, hungry therefore not in my right mind now do I have to kill you, or are you going to give me some answers." the Rogue fell back onto his backside smiling even though he was in pain.

" So you are just as ruthless as him," he then said. 

" I am a Friend Lady Zinora, Not a Foe," My eye's narrowed in suspicion, but I believed every word he said. 

" I am also not stupid enough to go up against, You an Alpha with an Alpha Betta and Witch,"  he paused for a few seconds before continuing.

" The Alpha King has planned to kill your Mother and all your sibling's once you are dead, that was the message from The Rogue King." I stepped back letting him get up of the ground.

" Why would he want me to know this?" I asked quickly as he got to his feet. 

He snapped his wrist back into place closing in on me again, this time I could feel a power in him he did not possess earlier that of an Alpha strange that he would hide it an not let his wolf fight, his eyes were upon me once again this time the look was of regret mixed with worry, a look that I was all too familiar with because of Blake.

" You remind me of someone, do I know you?" I asked looking back through every memory I had, there was a bond type of feeling between us, good goddess what the hell was I thinking just then, stop thinking stupid brain.

" We have never met if that is what you want to know." He raised his head and a smile spread across his face.

" As for your question first, I have no idea why? but he said to ask your mother if you had any question's," he backed away slowly,

" You know not all Rogue's are bad, you should try to get to know some of us." he bowed his head in respect.

" before your Betta arrives and with all that said we will take our leave." His people walked away but he stopped and turned back. 

" My Name is Mason Wells, by the way, tell your mother you saw me and that I said Hi." he placed both his hand's in his Jean's pocket taking several steps backward before turning and walking away.

I stood there in silence watching them, his walk, stance, the way he lowered his head when in thought about it, everything about him was known to me, I never get lost in the identity of someone else but him I couldn't help it, they soon disappeared into the forest.

( Others POV )

Mason walked into the cold water removing all the dirt from his face, his body, and his hair.

" Why didn't you tell her you are the Prince of the Rogue's?" asked a small blonde girl, her lime green eye's turned a darker green as she swam toward him. wrapping her arm's around his neck quickly like they had been intimate for years.

" I love you more than anything Mason you deserve to have your brother back in your life even though he may not remember you," she kissed him softly as if to care, Mason screwed up his face pushing her away angrily.

" I have told you before Anna, you are not my mate, we slept together once and that was a mistake. Do not tell me what I deserve or what I should do, OK," Anna tried to pull him in closer for another peck but he pushed her even harder throwing her at least 2 meters away from him.

" is that Understood." he then roared in his Alpha voice. Anna took hold of her now throbbing head as his voice echoed within it.

" Understood," She whimpered crawling up onto the moist wet riverbank. 

She turned to him briefly as he walked on the opposite bank. His body was scared with multiple wounds from battles, his once brown hair turned black with the dirt removed he could have been mistaken for Zinora's very own Betta Blake.

" Let's move I don't want to be here when the other's arrive," he mumbled deeply with his final word's all his people shifted into there wolf form's and ran toward the Dirt land's there home.
