After baptism one question remains on everyone's mind, NOW WHAT? for some the answer is simple, start reading your Bible and try not to sin as much as you used to.
For others, like myself, it's a bit more complex than that. Maybe it's just my autism, maybe it's something beyond my understanding but I needed something more.
So I talked to God and asked Him, okay Lord, what do You want from me? Where do You want me to go? What do You want me to do? He answered in a mighty way like only He could do.
I remember reading the Bible as a new believer and not understanding what I was reading or how to apply it, it was all just a bunch of stories from 2000 years ago. So then I asked my pastor what I should do, he recommended I take a Discipleship training class that he was teaching.
I signed up for it that day and I can honestly say I will never regret it. Discipleship 101 was a class that was going to change my life forever.
We first learned about how to find your calling, I had no idea what i was called to do, every job i ever had would let me go after two months because I was too slow.
Then it hit me like a ton of bricks! The very second that the teacher said this one word, I heard God speak to me audibly. It was a word I had never heard in my entire life, the word was Theocentric, and just then God spoke to me and Said, "Jason, I want you to start a church and call it Theocentric Church, meaning God Centered."
I was in awe, tears of joy were running down my face like a river. To hear God speak to you audibly is a very rare spiritual gift, some people don't believe it is possible, they just think you are crazy or a false prophet or a false teacher.
In your own Christian life, dont let the nay sayers get you down, one thing I have learned beyond the shadow of a doubt is that God is in control, we are not.
We have all tried to control our own lives, but then what happens? We just run it into the ground and it only leads to complexity and chaos.
I have done it myself, am I proud of it? of course I am not proud of it, but we have all done it.
