Niklas' POV
It felt like someone had cracked open my head. Everything around me was pitch black. The darkness was unlike that of the night. This was... nothing.
Where is she?
My hand struck the chilly floor. Rough concrete. Something, someone was what my fingers reached for. However, the area next to me was deserted.
"Emilia?"
Nothing.
I groaned and pushed myself up. I had excruciating rib pain. I got a burn on my neck. Something sharp pulsed behind my eyes, but I fought through it.
"Emilia!"
There has been no response as of yet. My chest slammed with panic.
I staggered to my feet and glanced around. Above, a faint light flickered. The smell of damp clothing and rust filled the room. The room featured cement walls. No windows. Just one door.
