Everything was moving too fast. My heart was banging like a drum in my chest, and my head spun with fear. One second, we were trying to fix things, trying to face the truth. Then the world became dangerous, ominous, and frightening. I wanted to run, but I couldn't abandon Niklas. Not when I was needed by him.
