Niklas' POV
My heart pounded intensely. The phone buzzed once more, and a new message appeared on the screen.
"Your time is running out. You're going to lose everything because of your error."
"What does it mean?" Emilia's voice trembled as she whispered.
I wished I had an answer as I looked at her. However, I didn't.
I finally said, "I don't know," with a heavy voice.
"Who's doing this?" With obvious frustration in his voice, Jonas enquired.
Feeling completely lost, I shook my head. Viktor should have been our biggest issue, but we defeated him. However, this new challenge felt worse.
Much worse.
I closed my eyes and gave it some serious thought. We believed Viktor to be the true adversary all along. However, he might have been merely a tiny part of something larger.
