chapter twenty-four

806 Words

Kat had left the bar angry and with one focus in her mind, to get a home curl in her bed, and cry. Dean's words had hurt her more than she would care to admit. It was after walking for a few minutes that she realized that Joseph had driven them to the Brave and it was roughly about two and a half miles to her home. Kat thought of going back but then she thought of seeing Dean again. That was the last human being she wanted to see at the moment. So she decided to soldier on and walk home. Maybe she will bump into someone also going home and ask for a lift. "Well hello there sweetheart," a man said standing in front of her. Kat knew everyone in Lambertville, that was one of the quirks of living in a small-time. The man before her was definitely a stranger. A dangerous-looking stranger.
