Chapter 11: Event Planning

Event planning had never been my strong suit, but I had to learn quickly in this line of work. Companies were constantly gaining and losing investors, holding events was a way of keeping those investors interested and potentially gaining new ones.
I was hosting a showcase of a new product geared at internet security at the Owen Briggs Museum of Science and Technology, with the proceeds going to a cancer research charity. An invitation was sent out to existing and potential stakeholders…as well as one to each of the mayoral candidates.
I doubted that Edwin Salazar would attend but many of his backers would definitely be here, none passing up on an opportunity to make even more money.
When it came down to it; the rich were incredibly predictable.
