Chapter 2 Coming home to see her husband, one of the city's most respected lawyers was supposed to be the highlight of her miserable day. Nathan straddled the other man. He had his head thrown back as a gasp of pleasure escaped his lips. The other man had his hands on Nathan’s waist to guide him. “Oh yes! Just like that Julian.” Nathan gasped when the other man suddenly bucked his hips. The other man grabbed Nathan's neck and pulled him down to kiss him. The man suddenly moved his eyes and they met hers by the door. In the throes of pleasure, Nathan didn't expect his wife to suddenly walk in on them. They both heard a faint ‘thub’. The carpeted floor muffled the sound. “…Nathan.” Nathan turned sharply. His eyes grew twice their size when he saw his wife sitting on the floor, staring at him with tears in her eyes, as if she had lost all hope. “f**k! f**k!! f**k!!!” he gasped and jumped off the other man, the man's c**k sprang, the tip filled with c*m. He didn't seem phased by whatever was going on. He was still perfectly erect after being exposed. In fact, he supported his head and while he watched them…or precisely Nathan’s naked ass… He stroked his d**k. “I'm sorry Amelia. It's not what you think,” he said. The man on the bed adjusted himself and rolled his eyes. He let go of his d**k which had started going soft. Who in her right mind will believe that? He grabbed a shirt and covered his huge d**k with it. Amelia felt no strength in her body as Nathan rushed towards her. He quickly threw on his jeans and then stretched out his hands to hold her up but she slapped his hands away. “Nathan?” she called out in shock and anger. “Wait, Amelia. I know what you want to say but I can explain,” he said quickly, running a hand through his hair. “You can explain?” she shouted. “Explain what? Are you cheating on me? With another man?” Nathan opened and closed his mouth but no words came out because he couldn't deny it either. “I'm sorry.” he finally said. “I didn't mean for you to find out this way. I was confused and selfish--” “When did this all start?” she asked him, pointing a shaky finger at the man on the bed. The man frowned and raised one muscular hand to support his head as he watched them. “It's—its—” “About two months ago. The first time we f****d was on the night he told you he had to stay overtime.” the man answered in his stead. Julian whipped his head around. Amelia looked from the man, to him, then back to the man, and then to him. This was the same man she had spent four years of her life loving. Giving her all. This was the man she said “I do” to three years ago. The same man who held her hand and promised to treat her with love and respect and never do anything to hurt her. Now it all began to make sense. Nathan had never been one to be affectionate even if he claimed to love her. She had made excuses for him. Their s*x had no passion. They always had s*x like it was an obligation and not an enjoyment. He even made a rooster for s*x. Now it all made sense. She remembered the words he said during the election night. “Your new mayor is ridiculously handsome. I'll never stop smiling if I'm with him” She had brushed it off as a joke. But now she knew that he truly meant it. “Fuck.” She pulled her hair and laughed with tears in her eyes. Then she struggled to pick herself up. “I can explain Amelia. Just give me some time to—” “To do what?” Her voice cracked painfully. He couldn't answer, he looked away. “I told you she would find out eventually.” the man on the bed suddenly spoke up. “Shut up Julian. You are not helping.” Nathan yelled at him in anger. Then Amelia looked at the man on the bed as he stretched out to get his suit jacket, he checked his pocket like he had all the time in the world. He took out a cigar Box, lit one up, and took a long slow drag. He blew it towards her. This man was strangely very familiar, but she couldn't remember where she had seen him before. Amelian felt hot tears run down her face. She shook her head. “I can't. I just can't.” she turned around and marched out of the room. Julian chased after her. “Amelia please…” He grabbed a shirt from the floor, pulled it over his head with shaking hands, and chased after her. As she walked out, her eyes drifted to the wedding pictures hung over the stairs. In the picture, she had a big smile on her face while Nathan looked casual. She wanted to laugh at herself. The signs had been staring at her all these while but she was too blinded to see them. Julian tried to grab her hand but she snatched it back. “Amelia please wait let me explain. “ he said. When she got to the front door she stopped before she opened it. She turned around to face him. She wiped her tears furiously. She just wanted to know. “Did you ever love me? Or was our marriage just a cover-up?” she asked. Nathan reached out to her again, but she pulled back one more time. “I did love you, Amelia. Believe me. But—” “Lying to her wouldn't save anything, Nathan. You loved her but not that way—” “Shut up!!” Nathan yelled. Amelia jumped. Not because he shouted but she had never seen him shout before. The man had appeared at the top of the stairs at one point. He was shirtless but at least he had his pants on. “I'm sorry.” Nathan sighed. “I know,” she said. “I never meant for you to find out this way.” “I know.” “I swear I tried to be the man you wanted…” The man behind them stared at Amelia intently, when she met his gaze he looked away and blew out the cigarette smoke. “I tried to—” “Stop. I don't want to hear anymore.” she snapped. Grabbed her purse and keys, she walked out and slammed the door behind her. “Amelia please.. don't tell anyone,” he yelled as he ran after her but she was fast. He stood barefoot in the driveway and watched the only woman who had ever loved him disappear. The man came up behind him. Nathan and the man stood there in silence. “What is wrong with you?” Nathan suddenly yelled out. He grabbed his hair and pulled in frustration. “Do you realize that if this gets out…we are done and it is over.” He raised his hands and covered his face. “I've ruined everything.” The man was silent. “What do we do?” Nathan groaned. The man glanced out the gate, then he grabbed Nathan and pulled him into the house. As soon as the door closed her pressed Nathan to it, spun him around, and raised his ass. “First, I f**k you until you forget about your wife.” Julian Campbell growled. He spread Nathan's ass and f****d him. The house was immediately filled with screams of pleasure and no regrets…. Yet. Meanwhile, Amelia drove around the city aimlessly. When she got tired, she parked her car and got out for a smoke. Just then her phone buzzed. It was an email. She opened it. Subject: Revised Acquisition Proposal-Hartwell Square. The more she read the content of the email. The angrier she got. After reading the email, she laughed and threw her phone carelessly inside the car. She pulled her hair. “Market value?” She slammed her palm on her car, startling the bird around. “All my life I've never seen such an arrogant prick,” she shouted. She got into her car, threw her car into gear, and stepped on the accelerator. “Just you wait,” she growled. She had just driven into the parking lot of the city hall when she saw him step out of the building. She jumped out of her car, ready to tear him apart. “Mr Mayor,” she yelled. He turns. Their eyes met. Before she could continue— “Damian.” A woman marched up to Damian at a speed that looked impossible in high heels. Slap! Amelia winced when she saw this. Then she laughed. Damian slowly lifted a hand to the bright red mark on his cheek.
