I roll my eyes, scarfing down another muffin. I'd never gotten muffins from the shop before, but with how good they are, I think I just found my new favorite pastry. I dig into the bag to grab another one, but my hand comes out empty. Turns out, I'd finished three regular-size muffins in only five minutes. "Damn, girl. How hungry were you?" he asks, watching me in amusement. I don't answer, chugging down the coffee he bought. Iced latte— my favorite. I love how well he knows me. "I wonder if you'd still be so eager if you knew who actually got it," he says slyly. "Hm?" I mumble through a mouthful. Then, I swallow. "Wasn't it you?" He shakes his head, a slow grin spreading on his lips. "Your hubby." The name registers, and then I freeze. But it only lasts a moment as I choke
