Hailey's POV
"You did what?"
"He doesn't work for me anymore. I fired him."
It's only been two days since Levi told me that he'd caught Jake doing something illegal in the company. And then he said that he was going to handle it, but I didn't expect it'd be this final... or at least not so quickly.
He'd insisted on using the footage from the cameras to report Jake and build a case, but I advised him against it. Jake might deserve that, but it felt too extreme.
And I also was afraid that Levi only wanted to do that more for me than for the company.
I don't need him fighting my battles for me. I can handle myself. Besides, Jake isn't much trouble anymore.
