CHAPTER TEN MIRA We had to assume that by now, Dimétrian’s guards had stopped chasing the bird and were hunting for me by other means than the tracking spell. Since Shianri was an obvious choice, we couldn’t take the main road in. We would need to cut across country and come in from behind. The estates had fancy gates on the roads into them, but they were just free-standing; they weren’t part of some long wall stretching around the grounds of the estates with all the orchards and pastures.
