The metallic sound of an object crashing to the ground, followed by a muffled "s**t" wakes me up. After a moment of disorientation, I understand that I’m on my sofa. A normal situation, since Cora is sleeping at my place this weekend. Cora who’s certainly the author of this morning noise. My mind still clouded, I take a few more seconds to realize that she may be in trouble. Did she fall? I stand up so quickly that I’m dizzy, and rush to the kitchen area. “Whoa! Are you always so full of energy in the morning when you wake up?” She looks at me, her eyes wide. She's got something white in her hair, flour I think, and a bowl on her lap. “What are you doing?” I ask, looking at the countertop lined with different ingredients that I don't even remember owning. “You didn't answer my question
