Chapter 20

Raz finished washing up the breakfast dishes. As he turned around, Delilah came out of his room wearing a slightly oversized red cashmere sweater, and black leggings with black boots. "Some of Kad's old clothes?" She nodded at him, and he smiled. "You look lovely." He watched her look down at the sweater, tugging it slightly. "Not too big?" He shook his head. "No you look beautiful." He saw a slight blush come to her face as she smiled shyly at him. "Psych! Come on, we have to get to the packhouse, we can't keep Hailey waiting." Psych came into the room groaning. "Why do I have to go again? She's just going to keep coming on to me." He shook his head as he walked to the door, put on his coat, and grabbed the one for Delilah. He held it helping her put it on, and turned her around, zipping it up. "Why don't you just tell her about your mate? I mean she doesn't need to know she is still growing. Thinking about it, it's the perfect time you could ask her to make a playroom." He chuckled as Psych punched his arm. "Not funny." He grabbed a set of ear muffs, placing them on Delilah's head over her ears. "There now you'll be all warm." She smiled at him. "Thank you, who's Hailey?" He grabbed his keys off the hook, ushering them out the door. "She was the one who helped us design the packhouse. She is nice and polite, but has had a thing for Psych since she started." Raz offered his arm to Delilah, and she seemed surprised, taking it slowly. "If you don't mind saving me from her, I would greatly appreciate it." He smiled, hearing her giggle as he led her out of the bar, and to his truck. He unlocked his truck, opened the door, and helped her into the passenger seat. "What do I have to do?" He helped put her seat belt on. "Just stay close to be me, and hold my arm if you are comfortable with that." He walked over to the driver side, and climbed into the truck as Psych jumped in the back. He made sure to keep the heat on, and even turned the heated seat on for her. As he drove toward the packhouse, and into his parking spot, he pointed to the large area that was covered in snow, but you could still see some of the rocks, and the benches that surrounded it. "Over there we have bonfires in the summer, and all the pack is welcome. We have a huge fire most nights in the summer, and we cook food in the fire along with my favorite smores." He hopped out of the truck, making his way around helping Delilah out of the truck. He couldn't help but grin when she took hold of his arm, and he really didn't mind her touch. Honestly, he only wanted her to touch him. He led her into the packhouse, and he surprised to see the entire hall done. It had all the furniture he picked out, the paintings, and curtains. "Alpha Raz!!" He turned to see Hailey walking over to him. "Hailey, everything looks amazing!" She beamed up at him. "I got everything you ordered, and had everything put in place. We actually had leftover material from the fireplace in your living room. So we are able to make you a small fireplace for the bedroom. I am sorry it won't work on the one wall you wanted, but we can have it on the other side." He shrugged. "As long as I can have it put in." He looked back at Delilah, seeing her looking around the front entrance of the packhouse. "Somehow it looked bigger with it all decorated. Alpha's house wasn't even half this size." Raz nodded. "I wanted to make sure all the pack members would be comfortable. It's got an indoor pool for winter, a movie theater, the dining hall, a gym, even an indoor playground for all the kids. I asked what they wanted, and I made sure to give into all their requests." He saw Hailey looking at Delilah in confusion. "Oh I am sorry, Hailey, this is Delilah, one of our new pack members." He watched Delilah shake her head, smiling. "This place is truly beautiful. You did an amazing job!" He smiled at Delilah when she grabbed hold of his arm with both hands. "When will your room be ready? I'd love to see it." He looked at Hailey, as she smiled. " Your room should be done in two days, Alpha. Lucky for you that you texted me as we almost unpacked your furniture, so nothing will be ruined." Delilah looked up at him. "I bet you picked red for the walls." He chuckled, shaking his head. "They might be had I met you earlier. I might have tried to match the walls with your hair." He watched Hailey catch sight of Psych, and walk away from them as he whispered into Delilah's ear. "Thank you." He leaned back up, and grinned. "How about a snack?" She scrunched up her nose as they made their way into the kitchen until her eyes widened. She released his arm suddenly, and was at the counter staring down at what looked like cupcakes to him. "Are these faerie cakes?" He went to open his mouth as Belia pulled a tray out of the oven. "Yes would you like some?" Delilah tilted her head, looking at Belia with a raised eyebrow. "Belia, is that you?" She turned her head looking toward Delilah with smile. "Delilah, I wondered when Alpha Raz was going to bring you by here." She set down the tray another try of faerie cakes, before walking into the storage room. She came out a minute later with a huge basket filled with jars, and all kinds of stuff he hadn't seen. "We figured you missed the taste of home, so we made you a little of everything we could. There is honey bread with different fruit jams." He watched tears come to Delilah's eyes as she grabbed hold of Belia, holding her tightly. "Thank you so much, you will never know how much this means to me. Last I left you were in the realm." Belia smiled, nodding. "I found my soulmate. You met him, Doctor Lock. He wanted to come here to find his sister, and I couldn't imagine staying behind, so I came along with him. Alpha Raz told me I was welcome here, and even gave me a job here in the kitchen." He turned as Lydia walked into the kitchen holding a piece of paper. "Alpha, the delivery guy needs your signature. Apparently you need to sign for it, since it's the stuff for your office." He looked back at Delilah, and she waved him off. "I'll be fine here for the moment with Belia. Honestly, I would love to help her cook. It's been so long since I've been able to make faerie foods." Raz turned to look at Belia. "Mindlink if she needs me for anything. Lydia stay here, and guard Delilah please." Lydia's face brightened. "Of course Alpha, I will guard her with my life." He raised an eyebrow at her, and shook his head as he started walking out of the kitchen shouting. "Stay out of trouble Lydia!"
