Chapter 39

Raz couldn't help but smile as Delilah cuddled up against him. He could feel her jealousy and worry in the bond. He just wanted to reassure her that there was no one else for him, but her.

He looked up, seeing the worry on her mother's face, and couldn't help but tilt his head. "Is there something wrong with Danaya?" She shook her head. "No." He let Delilah go as she walked over to her mother. "What's wrong Mom?"

Danaya shook her head. "I am just sad that you might not want to stay in the realm with me. I can't deny that you are half lycan, and that you might have a wolf mate. I just selfishly wished you had a faerie mate." She shook her head. "But if you want to return here to be with him, I'll be happy for you, Delilah. After all you've been through, you deserve it."

He couldn't help raising his eyebrow, and wondered if Danaya knew that he was Delilah's mate. He saw Delilah hug her mother tightly. "I missed you so much Mom." He watched Danaya, wrapping her arms eagerly around her daughter, holding her tightly and kissing her head softly.

"Delilah, you will never know how much I missed you and worried about you. I know you aren't sure about returning to the realm, but your sister's mate is sick. If she dies Delilah I don't know if Talilah will die with her. She isn't as strong as you are, and if we don't find a cure."

Delilah looked up at her mother. "What happened?" He watched her mother run her fingers through Delilah's hair. "She was bitten by some creature, and is now dying. We can't figure out what happened to her. We have tried everything, but she keeps getting worse. She is colder than ice, and I know Talilah would appreciate you being there for her. I'd be there, but I have to fine your father, and my son. I don't want to lose anyone."

Raz looked at his brother, and he was now holding Kaz. She was whispering to him, and he was shaking his head and chuckling softly. He couldn't help mindlinking his brother. 'Having fun?' He saw Pysch look at him. 'Apparently I am one of the few she can trust with her visions, and someone in her pack will have a torrid affair.'

He shook his head as his name was suddenly called, and her turned to see Kida walk over to him, and hold out her hand to him. "Alpha Raz a pleasure to see you again." He looked at the offer hand, but before he could put his hand in hers Delilah was at his side taking it, and he felt relief fill him. "Alpha Kida I assume?"

He nodded at Delilah, placing his arm around her. "Nice to see you again, Alpha Kida. I am sorry I missed your ceremony." She shook her head. "We didn't have a celebration. There was too much to fix after taking over for..." She was suddenly silent, and just smiled. "Well, I repaired the pack."

Kida turned to Ruby, and bowed her head to her. "Queen Ruby, a pleasure to see you again too. We do miss your presence in the pack." He looked at Ruby to see a forced smile on her face. "It's nice to see you too, Alpha Kida, if you will excuse me."

Ruby turned, looking at everyone holding her head high as Kaz suddenly spoke. "Why haven't gone to the darkness?" He saw confusion in Ruby's face as she looked at Kai.

Kai was suddenly at Psych's side, and shielding Kaz giving her a look, and the little girl pouted up at him. "I just wanted to know Daddy." He shook his head. "Enough Kaz. I am sorry, Queen Ruby."

Ruby looked at Kaz with a raised eyebrow, and looked at Kai. "She said that to me before, what does it mean?" Kai just shook his head, and turned when he heard his brother's voice. "Kida, I got a strange job. Apparently, the Alpha of a Rogue pack kidnapped his mate, and is now holding her hostage."

Raz looked at Koe as he approached, and looked around at everyone. "Sorry am I interrupting something?" Kida giggled softly. "This is Alpha Raz of the Rogue Lycan pack, also known as the Shadow Pack. Alpha Raz, this is my mate, Luna Koe. Don't offer your hand because he doesn't like to be touched."

He looked at Kida, smiling gratefully, as he heard a giggle come from one of the many guards. He was surprised to see a knife suddenly beside his head, catching the guard's collar to the wall.

Kida was in front of the guard with another knife tapping it against his throat with a hiss. "Something funny?" Koe chuckled, looking at Raz. "It doesn't bother me, Kida. I didn't train you to defend my honor against the likes of him. Down kitty."

Koe eyebrows furrowed as his phone rang, and he sighed, answering it. "Speak." He watched Koe turn around, tapping Kida's butt gently as he hissed gently. "I said I would call you back. Fine describe her to me."

Raz watched Koe eyes snap to Delilah curiously, tilting his head gently before looking at Raz. Kida looked up at her mate after pulling her dagger out of the wall. "What is it?" He held up his hand to Kida walking over to them."Sorry that was my mate I couldn't quite hear. Describe her again for me?"

He watched Koe flick the speaker on his phone before pressing another button as a male voice came across the phone. "Goddess, she is tall, thin with fiery curly red hair, red eyes, and pointed ears. She's a fire faerie, but doesn't have wings. The Alpha of the Rogue pack took her, and I need her back."

He felt Delilah shudder against him with a soft whimper, and she buried her face in his neck. "I take it sounds familiar, and she isn't a hostage, Alpha Raz?" He shook his head. "No, my Gamma found her, and she is free to leave whenever. " He looked down at Delilah. "Is it Alpha?" She nodded her head.

Koe looked down at his phone as the voice said. "Hello?" He held up a hand. "Sure, I'll take the job but it's going to be double my usual fee since I'll be stepping on toes. It will take me approximately twenty-four hours to get her. Where should I drop her off?"

He heard the excitement in Alpha's voice. "Wonderful, call this number when you have her, and I'll give you the location of the drop-off, and I'll have the money."

Koe looked down at his phone. "He hung up." He looked around the room. "Perhaps Kira would like to come for a ride with me tomorrow." Raz raised an eyebrow at that. "Why her?"

Raz watched Koe shrug. "She's half faerie, has the ears, and red hair. Not quite his description, but it could give us time to follow him back to his pack and find Alpha Cory, and his son. Let me make it clear I don't take jobs like this normally without proof. King Taranis called me here to locate the missing Alpha."
