Chapter 15

Delilah woke to the smell of freshly made honey bread, and she was surprised when her eyes opened to see a tray of food beside the bed. She saw different fruits she hadn't seen in years, and she couldn't help but grab one of the slices of honey bread taking a bit. She moaned as it crumbled and melted in her mouth, and she heard a soft chuckle. She was surprised to see Raz in the seat beside her bed. "I thought you might want something from home, so I had them make you fresh bread. I find it amusing that what you call bread we call a cookie." She couldn't help but smile at him sheepishly, and blushed slightly. She finished chewing what was in her mouth before speaking. "Thank you so much." She saw a glass of honey milk dipping the bread inside before popping it into her mouth. She couldn't help but close her eyes. She heard a gentle knock on the door, and was surprised when Lock made his way into the room, setting down a piece of cake. "I had my soulmate make this for you last night. I hope you enjoy it." Delilah looked at the faerie cake, and looked up at Lock with tears in her eyes. "You are all too kind. I was expecting any of this, so thank you so much." She wiped the tears from her eyes, as Lock smiled at her. "Now today, I want you to get plenty of rest, but you need to sit outside in the sun. It looks like you haven't gone outside in a while." She shook her head. "No, I was never allowed outside. I did try to sit in the window sill if I wasn't helping clean the packhouse." She watched Lock look at Raz with a smile. "Perhaps you could show her around the pack today, Alpha, if you aren't too busy." Raz looked at him with a soft chuckle. "I figured I would show her around so she knew she would be safe here. Perhaps introduce her to some of the faeries here. Your mate had me install the kitchen first, so I was going to take her to the packhouse for lunch to meet the rest of the faeries. They have all insisted on working in the kitchen. I am not complaining. It's some of the best food I've ever had." She smiled at Raz as she took a bit of the honeycake, before looking at Lock and Raz. "I don't have any clothes here." She saw Raz nod. "I figured you wouldn't, so I actually have a bag of clothes here for you, and once you're comfortable here I'll take you to one of shops so you can pick out clothes you like." He held up the bag beside the chair, and she raised an eyebrow. "Oh, Lock's mate picked everything out for you. Since it's winter, it's warm sweaters, and some nice pants. They said you'd be comfortable in these as they were made in the Realm." She finished her cake, before slipping out of bed and taking hold of the bag. She felt so full of energy, and Raz stood up leading her to a door. "If you want to shower, there is one in there." She nodded, and stepped into the bathroom. Delilah set the bag down, walked over to the shower, looking at the two taps for hot and cold. She turned on the heat and was surprised. After a few seconds, it was scolding, and she couldn't help but take off her gown and got into the shower. She moaned as the hot water hit her skin, and she finally felt truly warm. She loved that it didn't burn her, and she rinsed the dirt out of her hair. She saw mini bottles on the edge, and leaned down to pick one up. It looked similar to the stuff Alpha forced her to use to make her hair softer. She poured some of it into her hand and washed her hair, before putting the conditioner in her hair. She couldn't help but stand in the hot water for a while before getting out of the shower. She wrapped herself in a big fluffy towel drying off. She went through the bag, finding a pair of black pants, and a very soft red sweater. She eagerly got dressed in the clothes before pulling out a brush, and ran it through her hair, before putting on socks and flat shoes. She walked out of the bathroom, seeing Raz's eyes widened with surprise. "You have red hair." She smiled, nodding. "Yes, I had to put dirt on me to cover my scent so they couldn't track me." She frowned suddenly looking at him. "I guess that will make it harder for me to find my father. I don't even know how I got here, or how far away from the pack I am." Her eyes started to fill with tears as Raz walked over, and gently pulled her into a hug. She clung to him tightly and buried her face in his chest. She didn't know why, but his scent was so comforting. He smelled very delicious, and she was curious what it was. "Don't worry Delilah, I will help you find them. Once you are feeling up to it, we will go to where Lydia found you, and we will try to go from there. Depending on how long you ran, we could pinpoint an area. Since my pack borders on the lake, there are only a few directions you could have come from." Delilah looked up at him, and smiled. "Thank you for being so nice to me. I didn't think any wolves could be nice." He chuckled softly down at her. "I'm a lycan actually, it's a bigger wolf, but we do have a few werewolves here. They are kind though, have been through a lot just like you, and are trying to start over." He released her taking hold of her bag. "Come let's show you around." She followed him out of the room, and down a hall. She saw Lock standing at the front holding a coat. Raz took hold of it, and she eagerly slipped it on, and cuddled in the warmth. She walked outside with him, and was surprised to see many of what Lydia was just running around. There were several Kitsune with five tails, and even a few with more. There was children running around playing with the Kitsune. She saw an Ice Faerie making different snow sculptures. The kids would ask for one, and she would whip it right up, and make another. They walked past, and she was surprised when people would stop and wave at them. Raz pointed in the distance, and she saw different kinds of houses, and even huts. " For those who don't want to live in a packhouse, I made a village, and there are different shops. I had the packhouse rebuilt, and this one will have pools, theaters, and of course, housing for those who don't want to live in the town. Hopefully you will stay, or come back in the summer when we have all kinds of water sports." She walked with him along the pack, and was surprised at how open this place was. "Are you allowed to leave here?" He looked surprised at her question. "Of course, people are free to come and go as they please." She wanted to go home, but there could be worse places for her to be, and she felt safe with Raz. "Thank you Raz." He grinned at her. "Of course, you are welcome to stay here as long as you like."
