Delilah couldn't help but smile at her brother as she took her plate back from him, and Alpha yanked it out of her, handing it to an omega. "Get her fruit." She watched the woman scurry away, and looked at Alpha as he glared at her.
"So Mikah, after breakfast I will show you around the pack, and help you find your mate so you can be on your way." She smiled at Lily as she brought her a plate of fruit. "Thank you, Lily."
Lily placed a hand on her shoulder. "You're welcome Delilah." She couldn't help but rest her cheek on her hand before she walked away, and saw Mikah eyes brighten. "Delilah? That is a very pretty name."
She nodded. "Flower." She went to pick up a slice of orange when she heard Alpha growl, and frowned, picking up her fork and using it instead.
She looked at Alpha Cory, and noticed he had been casually glancing at her. He had shoulder-length brown hair, and now looking at his features, Taliah did look similar to him. She really missed her sister, and her family.
Alpha Cory cleared his throat slightly, and she looked up at Alpha to see him looking at Cory curiously. "Will your Luna be joining us?" He shook his head. "She actually doesn't like leaving the packhouse." She looked at Mikah as curiosity got her, and she quietly spoke in fae.
"Is he my father too?" She didn't remember much about her father. She hadn't seen him since she was little, but her mother spoke about him often, and would tell her stories. She would always ask where he was, but her mother just told her that he couldn't come to the realm.
Now thinking back, it was all starting to make sense, as she looked at him, and he looked at her with a slight smirk. "Yes, of course." She couldn't help but smile at him, as she saw where she got her playful smirking from. He was answering Alpha's question, but it felt more directed to her.
She had so many questions she wanted to ask like how come her mother never told her about her brother? She looked over Mikah, and looked at his ears. They were round, and not pointed, and she couldn't help but reach up, and brush her red curls behind her pointed ear.
She pointed at Mikah. "Wolf." He chuckled softly at her, nodding. "No, actually, I am a Lycan." She looked at him with confusion, and he chuckled. "Lycan's are bigger, stronger, faster, and we even heal faster. I am exactly like my father, I am a pure lycan. My twin sister is exactly like my mother."
Delilah furrowed her brows slightly, as she listened to him, pretending to be slightly confused. So Talilah was a pure faerie despite Cory being her father, and he was a pure lycan. She felt Alpha place an arm around her shoulder. "Where is your mate, Alpha Cory?"
She looked over at him as he shrugged, leaning back in his chair, taking a sip of his coffee. "My mate is of another species, and lives with her kind. We see each other once a week, well except for the past year anyway. It was agreed upon that, should we have children together, I would get any that were lycan, and if they were like her, they would stay with her. "
She saw him smile, thinking about her mother, and he shook his head with a chuckle. "My first was exactly like her, and when she had twins. Mikah here was a Lycan, but his twin sister was not. I was given Mikah here to raise, and I couldn't be happier. She didn't want to leave her kind held a very important position on their council. I could never ask her to give that up, and we agreed to be together but live separately."
Delilah couldn't help but think back to once a week when her mother would tell her she was going for walks, but would be gone for hours. She heard Alpha speak. "I see, do you not get to see your eldest?" She watched Cory shake his head. "Not since she was about three. The others in the council do not like our kind, and it was best if she didn't know. They might have thrown my mate out of her pack, and she would have been cut off from her family."
She realized now if King Cyprien had found out her father was a Lycan, she would have either been treated like Kira, or been thrown out of the realm. She couldn't help but touch her pointed ear, and realized if she had been born a Lycan, she would have been raised by him.
She understood now why she wasn't allowed to know who he was, and couldn't help but look at him, and gave him a soft smile. She spoke to him in fae. "Thank you, Dad."
She winced as she felt the prickling of claws in her arm from Alpha. She looked up at him, and frowned. "Sorry Alpha." He was glaring down at her. "Beta, please take the Luna back to her room, while I show Alpha Cory, and Mikah around the pack."
She could feel the anger in the bond, and knew she was going to be punished, later setting her fork down on the table, as Beta came over to her side. She stood up, looking at her father and Mikah, giving them a soft smile and bowing her head. "Alphas." She felt Beta grab hold of her arm gently.
Delilah started walking away with Beta as she heard Mikah call out in fae. "You'll be free soon." She heard Alpha growl at Mikah asking what he said, and her brother chuckle. "I said it was a pleasure meeting her."
She looked up at Beta, who was looking ahead, as he walked her back up the stairs to their floor. "You know he's going to punish you?" She sighed. "Punish." She didn't really care, and his punishments always hurt him more, then her.
She willingly walked into her room, and watched him shut the door, sealing her back inside her prison. She couldn't help but walk over to the window, and sit on the sill staring out into the yard.
She caught a glimpse of her father walking with the Alpha, while Mikah was purposely looking around until he saw her in the window. She saw him tilt his head slightly, before he waved at her. She couldn't help but hold her hand out, waving back at him.
She hoped they would help her escape, but she couldn't help but worry what would happen to them if he found her missing, and they were the ones who did it. Why would they risk everything for her?
